Carrie Jung (Choi Myoung-Gil) lost her husband and child. She now lives only take revenge on those responsible for their deaths. Carrie Jung raises Han Yoo-Jin (Cha Ye-Ryun) as a tool in her revenge plan. Han Yoo-Jin is a smart and beautiful woman, but she falls in love with a man who she should not love.

PURPLE DYLAN May 28 2023 4:00 pm This drama is very addictive. For those saying how they don't recognize Karry, it's because she was a dead person. Out of sight, out of mind.
Park Min Feb 28 2023 9:30 pm Coming to this after "Shady Mom-in-Law", I actually kinda liked it for the first 38 episodes although the story was very similar but it did everything "Shady Mom-in-Law" failed to do with the daughter-mother dynamic. Unfortunately, after episode 38 things slowed down a lot and got boring until the last 20 episodes were things started moving again. I'm too used to see Cha Ye Ryun playing the baddie as a 2nd FL across many projects but it's nice seeing her being the lead for a change. Anyway, none of the 4 young leads had any chemistry to begin with. That's the problem with most of these dailies. For the drama itself, don't expect too much it's your typical daily makjang were most things just don't make sense, especially when it comes to legal matter. The main theme of this drama is revenge and I think it was its weakest aspect, I wish it went all out on that aspect without holding back. The ending was alright, although I wish if it had been better.

An MP can be a kidnapper and extort money without any fear or guilt? can't believe it. Does it really happens in South Korea?
At the end what is the moral of the story. Evil doers still win and the victim has to die?
There is no moral in the story . And the legal aspect is also lacking in substance! Bad conclusion.

KDW Mar 26 2020 2:06 pm Okay, I'm not a big fan of Cha Ye-Ryun but she is a very good actress! Her character required her to be the person she portrayed. She did an excellent job. An award should have also gone to Choi Myong-Gil who played Carrie. Her acting was superb to say the least. Over reaction acting like most of the other characters did does not constitute good acting in my opinion. Every one is entitled to his/her opinion. One thing that the writers made a mistake on is trying to kill Carrie. OMG, why? Such a bad choice in my opinion.
saranghae Mar 23 2020 10:20 am epi 98 heading for the last week of this drama i know more or less how this is gonna end its predictable unless the writer drops a big bomb to give the viewers the last shock treatment it seems the last incognita is if jennis gonna forgive carrie i think she will im surprised that jennis won an award for this drama and nobody else i really didnt like her acting or maybe im wrong it could be that the role she was playing make her act like that she was too dry without any passion at all like she was not present there she rarely smiled or got angry this is the first time seeing her so i can not tell for sure but all the other lead actresses were much better than her the best i like was sera then carrie, dr seo, ms jo hae yoon mom, even secretary oh was better and dori mom was better too in conclusion all other actresses were better than her with only one exception the fake yura hahahahaha

saranghae Mar 13 2020 7:00 am epi 90 this was a very good epi cz the last mystery was revealed i think all the relevant people know by now who is who all the secrets had been told so whats next i have no idea cz there are a handfull of epi left at the end of this epi jennis said she will seek revenge on her mom carry for the kidnap and be used as a tool for revenge but it seems this drama is already done my rating 5/10 cz the plot had a big inconsistency in the 1st half the fact that carry was not recognized if not for this flaw i couldve given better rating but anyway i want to give credits to the writer
Amelia Mar 12 2020 8:51 pm Highly recommended drama with lots of plot twists and amazing acting. Each episode is about 40 minutes so time really passes by as we watch, and now we are close to the ending. I will miss this drama. I wish Danny will appear in more scenes. He is an excellent actor, too.
saranghae Mar 08 2020 5:57 am epi 83 good epi as the drama is waning down all the remaining mysteries should be solved in the next 17 epi one of the big mysteries was solved at the end of this epi not that it was a real mystery cz all viewers knew that hae yoon was the birth son of carry the only guy that didnt know it was hae yoon himself so when he summoned carry if she was her birth mom a great display of dramatic scenes followed i dont think any other actress couldve done it better and hae yoon also raise to the occasion great epi

Why no consequence for the kidnapping of the woman? I realize it’s two sides doing wrong things and the woman may the right side but distasteful.
saranghae Feb 20 2020 10:36 am epi 70 wow little bombs were dropped here and there this epi had a lot of twists some good some bad yeah the writer is saving the best for last but for me im still bothered by the terrible flaw beyond repair about the lead female not being recognized somehow they shouldve changed her face to make it more credible and i think the revenge shouldve been done more subtly not so conspicuous like she did it was like she was advertising to all that she was gonna get a big revenge on those people

saranghae Jan 18 2020 7:08 am another excellent epi 36 feel soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo soooooooooooooooooooooooooooorry for sera i want to cry with her and console her she is suffering the most for no reason she endured a lot but everything has its limits and in a lesser mode i feel sorry for yujina both girls have not committed a sin yet they are suffering the most this writer is saving the best for last excellent keep it up

Leila Jan 14 2020 4:11 pm It has been long time since I watched good family drama like this. I'm on episode 51 and until now I didn't find it boring but rather the opposite. What I find good about this drama is that you've no clue what's happening the next and you're finding out together with the characters. It's also not repetitive what I mean is you're not watching 30 episodes about the same scenario like the most Kfamilydramas (example: Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life). Resume: Amazing plot, good actors and great fashion sense. I'm looking forward more dramas of this writer/producer.
saranghae Jan 12 2020 11:44 am finished epi 30 finally the writer gave me a clue of why the evil wench couldnt recognized her it was when she had a big sweaty nightmare and in it the lead female was calling her a murderer but she couldnt understand why was she calling her a murderer well that told me that the evil wench astonishingly completely forgot what she did 30 years ago and i couldnt comprehend that cz that was not a petty crime that you can do everyday she stole some mom newborn baby how could you forget that if you have a conscious you should be remorseful everyday of this huge crime so how could she forget it unless you are not human maybe the writer should have put this in a different context more believable like having her in a huge car accident and becoming amnesiac of the last 30 years i was about to dump this drama cz for me it was useless to continue watchng this if the wench didnt recognize her so finally i understood it and will be looking forward to the next epi but still the evil wench can not associate the canadian lady with the woman whom she stole the baby so when this comes all hell will brake lose i mean huge bombs will be dropped hahahahaha
Star Jan 11 2020 8:38 am @Mevrouwpinda lol you must be new to daily dramas, yes they are low budget with lesser known actors but there are still some good ones, sadly some people run away at the sight of a 100+ eps drama and might miss out on one they could've end up liking. Honestly I felt the same at first but now I'm hooked to this drama since I like melodramas/makjangs.
Star Jan 11 2020 8:25 am those saying it's been 30 years but no one recognizes her, they thought Cha Mi Yun died. People like them would've moved on with their busy lives and wanted to bury the past. And it is 30 years not just 3! Do you guys still recognize people who you met so long ago for a brief time let alone 30 years?? Tbh I don't. But during the later eps I do think they should start recognizing her as they dig more into Carrie Jung's past and having flashbacks of Cha Mi Yun.

Though I feel like I can wait until it finishes and start from ep 75 and then run until the end. I feel like this revenge will go back and forth between Janice and Hae-Joon for a long time. ugh!
Zula Dec 27 2019 3:53 pm So many unsettling things and plot holes in this drama: 1. Nobody recognizes Carrie. 2. Hae Joon does not recognize Danny as the lawyer and Janice's brother. 3. Carrie, Janice and Danny are a team but always hides things from each other, which is so stupid. 4. What exactly is Carrie's plan about Janice? 5. Why does everyone go to a same chicken place? 6. Why does everyone randomly run into each other? 7. Why the hell is Danny flirting with Se Ra and what is his plan about her?
It is so frustrating to watch but i am hooked, so I got no choice but to keep watching it up to the 100th episode :'(

CedarL Dec 25 2019 10:01 am Started watching it from 5th Epi, still could follow it. Simple storyline, may I say old plot, babys get changed , I saw few with such plots a decade ago including twins separated ;) I hope further episodes would make the story interesting and new ?
saranghae Dec 19 2019 7:17 am very very strange tho its been 30 years nobody recognizes the lead female especially the evil couple who stole her baby boy i didnt skipped much so where did i missed it 30 years ago she was not a child she was an adult so they shouldve recognized her pretty easy and the lead female isnt hiding anything she is very confident that nobody will recognized her why why? did she get plastic surgery?

saranghae Nov 25 2019 10:11 am just started this drama wow they didnt waste time the plot is very well defined in epi 1 which is great this drama will be centralized in the maternity clinic baby switching i dont know if it is a coincidence or they did it on purpose but the drama that preceded this one a place in the sun which was an incredible great drama for me had exactly the same plot another crazy baby switching in the maternity clinic which created a whole mess and im expecting the same thing happening here a flurry of dna tests whoahahahahaha anyway this drama feels like a continuation of a place in the sun which i dont mind cz i enjoyed it very much whoahaha looking forward for the next episodes

No Evil MIL or conglomerate. Last empress has criminal abuse of power but it’s really good and not 50 hours long. It’s more of an alternate reality. I also miss ten and ten2. Nine times travel.
