Male lead Go Se Won and Female lead Park Hana characters love each other but so miserable. GSW acting shows his miserable and tortured characters which is great. Hope to see him back on the small screen soon!
Park Min Feb 17 2023 4:10 pm Goddammit! It's the usual revenge in a business setting but this time they are wearing white coats because they are in a hospital. How innovative! I was expecting the female lead to become a doctor for her revenge like they usually do in these time-skips revenge dramas but all you'll get 2-3 medical scenes at most and that's it. The very first "fatal" mistake the drama committed was the blatant incompetence of the justice system. Whenever you see that you know immediately how the rest will carry on. This was a weak revenge drama, everything was facilitated for the female lead to execute her revenge. She didn't put the effort to take revenge. The drama also had some serious pointless drag for the last 15 episodes. Even with that stretch they couldn't slap a better ending. Go Se Won doesn't have what it takes to be a male lead, maybe if he was a 2nd male lead would be better. I don't like his face anyway. Poor Ji Hoon was treated like a bag of dirt throughout the whole thing. Couldn't they give him any purpose other than being a dimwit? Park Ha Na was fine.
ADeppiesse Nov 16 2021 10:28 am Everytime i read negative comments about kdramas and i watch the drama i am not disappointed. I don't follow people's comment i watch stuff myself. The drama is good and some kdramas are lengthy in order to put stuff in perspective via viewers. If one is too dumb to understand that then they should not watch kdramas but go play with themselves.
Jinjoo Jun 05 2021 10:14 pm finally finished this drama but i was hoping Ji hoon will stay, i was really feeling sorry for him bec eun dong was so obsessed with her revenge that in the final stages of this drama, she came to irritate me more & more! i mean i can u/stand how she felt with the way jun hyuk ended her father's life, but eun dong was just merciless esp in doing something for jun hyuk's father! she also didn't even try to stop ji hoon from leaving & i cldn't blame ji hoon bec i reckon he realized how eun dong never got over tae in! for some reason i was glad i got to finish this drama bec the few last episodes were dragging, the writer prolonged the parts of gg back N forth with how jun hyuk did all the bad deeds, etc. it's not one of those dramas i'd wanna see again! i'm gg to miss go se won and lee chang wook a.k.a. ji hoon!! LCW made me a fan of his in this drama! i'm gg to search for his previous projects after this!
Jinjoo Jun 03 2021 6:57 pm go se won just brought me to watch this drama & only bec of him that i'm hanging on i must admit it was OK to watch in the beginning spoiler: am on 90sh epi now & i find the revenge of cha eun dong getting too much & ridiculous in many ways, of course i can u/stand her grief about her father's death, etc. but her whims, etc were just unreal anymore! Also she's married to ji hoon but these two hardly show any affection albeit ji hoon is madly in love w/her since their childhood days! Instead, eun dong was still hung up in loving/caring for tae in even after her marriage to him! I agree w/one of the comments here, no kissing scene at all i mean? why? all these actors abstain from it? well am glad i'm almost done!
Dramatical Nov 17 2020 3:27 pm This drama is primarily focused on revenge. There isn't really a romance, just longing and pining. Not even a single kiss which was really disappointing. I think there were too many episodes that humanized the villains which became really exhausting to watch as it no longer felt like a satisfying tale about revenge but a moralistic tragedy from the perspective of the antagonists. Can't believe they didn't show what happened to Oh Hye Won. Also the last episode was such an anticlimax and the first time I've ever seen a lead couple give each other a handshake as conclusion. WTF is this, a business deal? How awkward. Rating: 6.5/10

Nanette Sep 02 2020 8:46 am This drama is getting worst and dragging. End this drama with a happy ending of Jihun, Eundong and Eunchan starting a new life far away. How can Kang Taen take the chairmanship and Eundong from Jihun? Eundong is vicious in taking revenge, she is no better than Choi JunYeok. The 3 main characters, Taen, Eundong and Jihun are dragging down the whole drama. Please stop and end it with a happy ending of Jihun and Eundong and Eunchan. Much appreciated acting is of Choi Jun Yeok. Although he is s villain in this drama, his facial expression is not to be miss especially when he saw Eunchan to be run over by a truck. Superb acting.

Hasnah Aug 27 2020 8:37 pm I think Kang Sung Min is the best actor in the show. His facial expressions are just amazing, we can almost see what he is feeling from them, compared to Park Ha Na or Ko Se Won who seem to have the same bland and blank expression throughout the show.

The story is now dragging on with her , who wants to see her face everyday , her face is so annoying and her part doesn’t do the show justice ! Even when you get to dress her up ,She still doesn’t do the part ! Wrong cast !! I guess they wanted a rough girl who was jailed and that nice I’ve changed style is so boring !!totally wrong cast !! She’s not pleasant to watch on the screen .. she’s dragging down the whole show ! too bad !!lets say , if any other story is bad , but if acting and cast is good , people will watch it ! But what a waste to see that pretty face on an evil character ?. Anyway, it's so satisfying to see all the evil bad guys get their just punishment one by one... But writernim, please don't drag this on for 20-30 more episodes, it just gets old so quick

Kang tae-in holds all the cards and he can destroy the evil family in one fell swoop. but is held back because he doesn't want secrets revealed that will hurt his parents feelings... Uhhhhhh in order to get his revenge, all secrets will have to be revealed anyways. so what is the point?

Ji hoon : basically, he needs to grow up! Stop being so childish! Crying, forcing feelings on ED... It goes on, boy is becoming a worst character without trying. Eun dong : babe, who do you love and are u sure?? The girl needs a full brain, its been half so far. Tae in : as much as I love u man, the fact is those attractive lips would look better with a smile. I hate that he was made to show almost no emotion.

Berean Jun 12 2020 2:56 am I like the story. While good and bad see-saw, the tables are turned on bad ones always. I find it a good mix of drama and humor provided by the nervous wrecks in the story. They are quite exasperating and make me laugh. Everytime some of them are shocked, they just have to drop whatever they're holding, when they can place them in a table very near their reach. Exaggerated shaking of hands too, in showing uneasiness. I hope Du Shim knows how to slap too. Nevertheless, she's a beautiful, good and kind mother.

It’s dragging out too long and I see why the rating is a 7! It’s at 50 episodes I hope this is it! Never been disappointed over a drama before but this one set it off!
saranghae Jun 08 2020 8:19 am epi 6 very good epi this is where the 2 opposing parties are lineup face to face and will be fighting each other to the end for the rest of the drama more than 100 epi or so and now i understand why this drama was called fatal promise i got the feeling that the plot will be twisted and retwisted until nothing is left in the end looking forward for next epis great dramatic acting from everybody

Also what's up with Oh Hye-Won and her frozen expression and glaring in all scenes. Choi Joon-Hyuk is no better with his glasses play and his stupid actions and threaths. I really hope this will be a 50 episodes drama because there's nothing left to say. This should have been a 16 episodes 1 hour drama. Duhh!! For the sake of our nerves, don't drag it any longer.

saranghae Jun 01 2020 2:43 pm after finishing gracious revenge i hesitated to watching this cz of park hana i think she lacks the fire and excitement that a lead role requires her acting is very dull for my taste every time i see her she flattens me she could be very good in a supporting role or side kick but leads are out of her reach imho i had watched hundreds of dramas so far and im always satisfied with the lead females it seems they are very well screened studied and chosen park hana was the only one exception for me sorry fans is not like im trying to be mean to her my opinion is purely objectively just finished epi 2 and i like the plot i think i can go all the way and i liked the female doctor acting like she was something if i compare her with park hana

She trembles when she sees JH, she trembles when she sees JH's father, she trembles in front of JH's stepmother she trembles all the time and this becomes annoying.

Cha Eun dong especially is hopeless, Kang Tae in just keeps frowning and you're expecting something exciting but Everytime he's a let down. All bark no teeth. Rubbish drama
