- Influenced by his sister who performed in musicals, Seung-Woo grew up wanting to be a performer in musicals.
- During his high school years, Seung-Woo was notorious for his disregard for education. He often carried musical CDs in his backpack rather than books.
- His love for musicals quickly took a back seat to acting in films after Seung-Woo auditioned for Im Kwon-Taek's Chunhyang and received the starring role.

I would Love to see Part 2 of this show, when Tae-sul told Seo-hae to go back and find him again, I hope this happens so we can see these 2 end up happy in the series

My heart broke when Lee Sun Kyun passed away, and finding an actor who even remotely resembled him in terms of personality, character and skill was difficult. I stumbled on CSW while watching Stranger and boy was I immediately taken with him!!! I've since watched every single one of his Netflix shows. To say I love him would be an understatement. He's got THE sweetest voice, and when he plays a naughty/playful scene in a story like Sisyphus, then my heart just melts because it feels like we are seeing more of the real CSW. I love every character he's played thus far and so desperately wish Netflix would add more stories he features in. You're the best CSW!

I look for old and new movies, and dramas where he is displaying his natural talent. Divorce Attorney Shin: 5 out of 5 stars. Patiently waiting on his next project.

The first time I saw him was in a movie that he made in 1977 I believe and that's when I heard him sing what a phenomenal voice I wish we could hear him sing some more. I'm going to have to work on that and do some research. I'm become such a Korean movie and series at it that I've been losing sleep binging on some of the best shows. I need my rest!

I’ve researched all his movies, musicals & other projects & am watching them one by one. I’ve watched everything on Netflix with him. And am adding new accounts to watch all his other projects on different venues. This man will win an emmy/oscar someday. It was wise of Netflix to put his projects in their service. Well deserved win for Stranger, he awesomely stayed in character spot on. Great job!! Congrats!! The way he can play a total logical person in Stranger where only the eyes show the truth is amasing ,and how emotions can be to much inside. And again a totalt logical person in a different way in Sisyphys. The fact that the the caracters always head for the good goal is something I like. I hope it will be possible to watch more og his work in Europa (region 2).

It started with Strangers 1 , then 2 Feng Shui , Cho has been such a joy to follow I admire his Talent and thank him for the hours of enjoyment, some nights I never even went to bed as I could not stop watching the story line. I am trying to find more of his work on our TV here in Australia, we have a korean Community here which is where I eat, and I am trying to learn korean , I am going to see if I can find DVD’s of Cho Seung Woo . I hope I can get to see him when international travel opens up, and I can come to Seoul

I just finish watching Life and Strangers in which Cho Seung Woo had a main role! He is an excellent actor and I always choose a movie in which he is the main character! I am an American and I have to read all the dialogue which appears and disappears so quickly, could you slow it down a little? I love the Korean dramas because I have learned so much about their culture, gracious people and beautiful country! Thank you for many enjoyable hours of wonderful entertainment!

Lorna Oct 03 2020 4:03 pm I’m in love with this man. I first saw him in Life and absolutely smitten with him and his character. I loved his lady of interest here. She looked like Shin Hye Sun, one of my favourite. I thought wouldn’t it be lovely to see him with her. And then I saw the first Stranger, and there she was. It’s just sad it didn’t go further as he purportedly cannot feel emotions as a result of brain surgery and that’s why he always seems to be stoic and expressionless. But nobody is completely immune to feelings. The first time he seemed to come alive was when he was investigating her murder. He was mad for the first time. And then he collapsed incited by stress, according to the attending physician. I’m convinced that in some way he felt some kind of emotion for her. I hope he will be partnered with her again, but this time, with somewhat happy ending.
And my God, do you know this lovely man can sing? And that’s why I’m in love with this man. He can act and he can sing. Go on, google him singing and you’ll know what I mean.

There was a innocence that he gave to the character who had difficulty reading emotions that one could truly feel his detached from emotion self and the self that was straining to make sense of all that was going on around him which rendered him so human. What I love about Jo Seung Woo is that for every character he portrayed, he's always showing something different. Every series/movie I watch, I would ask myself "is this really him?". Brilliant actor. Brilliant singer. Very handsome. I am rating this actor 10/10.

Unique through some point, his acting in Jekyll was praised by people following musicals( internationally speaking), but to be that good in both genre, is rare. What is really fascinating, his portrayal of characters is different, nothing will remember you about other role, almost no mannerism, nothing reminiscent from another portrayal.

His voice is so good. I wanted to see more so I watched The Classic and Marathon.. And damn! This guy can really act.. I mean seriously, he makes every character believable. He is so talented and handsome. I wish I can see him in person. He is now my favorite korean actor together with Jang Hyuk. :)

The whole cast is, but i'm so moved by his acting which after seeing Stranger must've been incredibly difficult to pull off - hardly showing any emotion - even Sherlock who shares some of the character traits (socially inept and lack of empathy) has a witty british humor in every scene - this is so much less, but so much more!

A gentle horse doctor; A rocker/singer & split personalities in his musicals; An autistic young adult; etc. Gosh, this talented and charming actor does not fail to amaze me ... the best! Leaves me wondering why I had never heard of him much earlier.
