I may as well take advantage of my last day of internet profligacy.

Pet peeves today:
1) The ubiquitous "I'm giving up Lent for Lent" or "I'm giving up religion for Lent" jokes have made their annual appearance. These were funny when we were 8. They're just dumb at this point.
2) Piqued /= peaked

Happy things today:
1) Amazing Race starts tonight! I do believe some of my Amaring race love is because it's produced by Bertram Van Munster. You all know my fondness for silly names.
2) Steak for dinner

I watched part 1 of Country Boys on PBS tonight and wanted to call some attention to it. I'm sure it's going to be rebroadcast, and if not, it will be available online starting tomorrow. It's about 2 teenage boys in Appalachia (Kentucky) and although it was really depressing, it's worth watching if you have any interest in documentaries.
