I have effectively been kicked out of LiveJournal, since it has stopped recognising my password, and is only accepting updates from an e-mail address that is long defunct. Oh well. Ta ta, more than fifteen years of posts. My fanfiction, luckily, is all on Archive of Our Own.

Basically, it appears that they were hacked, and they're forcing old account-holders to update their passwords. Unfortunately, they will only accept updates through the originally-supplied email address, which in my case is long dead. So I can't get to them to update, and that is apparently it for my account. I would have to create a new one. My old one free, and I don't think they do those any more, so I don't think I'll bother.

I'm trying! It's been an exhausting year, not at all conducive to writing, but I have things I'd like to write, if I can mutter up enough focus.

I'm neck deep in The Untamed fandom, which is bustling and delightful and a godsend. Have you heard of it? 50-episode Chinese historical fantasy drama based on a BL novel, available for free on YouTube, as well as Netflix and Viki? Very Silmarillion, very gorgeous and swooshy.

Heard of it, haven't watched it. Sounds good though. I appear to be writing an entire Star Wars novel (sequel trilogy, mostly about Hux, but really with a cast of thousands), quite by accident. The serial form does lend itself to serious mission creep. But two of the many, many OCs are played in my head by two exceedingly famous Hong Kong actresses of the 80s and 90s.

I am sorry to hear this!
It is very annoying that they kept denying that the hacking had happened for years and then, when they finally had to act, shut down accounts with so little warning.

Indeed! The first I knew was when I was shut out and told that my password was outdated. And then that it was impossible to update. I am very cross.
