My head was too crammed with coding for characterartexchange.com the last three weeks for writing, but I’ll try to restart the Friday Flash habit next week.

Meanwhile, here’s most of the rest of the art-crop from this year. They’re all drawn for other people, 4 for “secret santa” exchanges, 3 as gifts, though one of the characters in the last pic is my own.

sayunclecomics on deviantart has put out a challenge of drawing an owl a day all through October for a few years now.

This year I finally tried it, and it worked out, too. Well, not quite. It’s 31, though more in bursts, not one per day. Anyway, nice thing. :)

Ellen Million has been organising these for a bit, and I finally managed to participate. The idea is that people post prompts, and people who want to draw based on those prompts, spending no more than one hour in each sketch.

The thread with my prompts, and other people’s images based on them.

Here are my sketches; I collected the simpler ones in digital collages to preserve space.

Apart from the Moon&Sun elves, which I offered to the prompt writer first, those are all available for sale, in a price range from 2 to 14 euros, plus shipping.

Well, what with cold and otherwise induced brainfog, this was a dead month, blogging-wise. Let’s start the next one off, then.

Stag beetles are supposedly very rare, yet we keep finding them in our garden. I think it’s because our family tends to leave treestumps in the earth; the beetles’ larvae feed on rotting wood.
