While our subject is anime, discussion regarding manga and some Japanese video games (such as those by Squaresoft) are allowed, as well as the occasional post on Japanese culture. However, if you want to more fully discuss those topics, there are some great communities for those specific topics (such as manga).

There are but a few rules for anime community, most of which are based on common sense. If you post in the community, you are expected to follow them.

- Questions about Bit Torrent? Read this, written by one of our wonderful community members. Otherwise, please find a BT forum to ask in. :) This is not the place for it.

- If you are posting regarding the plot of an episode, series, or movie, and you are going to plot points, either preface your post with the words: "**SPOILER**" or use the lj-cut feature. With 5000+ members in the community, it is likely someone has not yet seen whatever you are referring to. (If you do not know how to use lj-cut, go here to find out).

- If you post large or multiple images or are making a lengthy post, please use the lj-cut feature.

- Stay (at least remotely) on topic.
- Keep personal posts (regarding your day, etc) to your personal livejournal.
- If you have to start the post with, "I know this is off-topic, but...", don't post it.
- This is not a personals/addme community. Do not simply post that you're new/like anime and ask for people to look at your journal/add you as a friend.
- Do not post regarding LJ (or other computer) tech support. (PS: It's still not anime related if your tech support has to do with not being able to watch anime on your computer.)

- If you are making a "I'm new here" introductory post, try to say something meaningful and on topic as well. If you are going to list every anime you've ever seen (and it's more than 5) please use lj-cut.

- Please don't post advertising your personal site or your new community. (There are exceptions to this. If it is an anime-related, non-lj site, such as a "shrine", resource, or anime wallpaper site, etc, it would be topic appropriate. A new "anime layout" for your personal lj, or a promotion of any LJ community or username, would not. Questions? Ask.) This includes posting a link to Go-Gaia or similar sites in hopes of getting referrals.
**People ignoring this rule will be banned.**

- Do not post your online quiz results in this community. That is what your own Livejournal is for.

- Please refrain from posting hentai.

- Posting of for-sale items and ebay auctions is currently okay, but PLEASE keep your posts to once every couple weeks and use LJ-CUT. The community gets a high volume of posts, and posting every time you have a new item for sale, only a day or two apart, can get tedious. Consolidate your items into one post. Extraneous posts and posts that do not use LJ-cut will be deleted.

- For goodness sake - please exercise some decorum, common sense, and courtesy! Good debate is fun. Flames and name-calling are not.
