I happen to have a high-quality image of my retinas from my last eye exam, because of type 2 diabetes. I would be very curious to see what results I would get, since there is no doubt that I have ADHD.

Nothing about the article sounds wrong, but I'm extraordinarily cautious about trusting the results without hearing anything about what tests they did. Even in the best case, I want to know like 89% accurate compared to what? I don't think any of our existing diagnosis methods are that accurate.

And in the worst case, who were they testing on, was it at all rigorous? Or could it be a "machine learning spots tanks by whether they're in snow or not" situation? It sounds very suspicious that he "just" extended the results from autism to ADHD. Has there been any reason to assume this isn't all some confirmation bias of some sort?

1. What a bright kid.

Hope it does turn out to be legit. It could be very useful, perhaps helping encourage adults to look into an assessment, not just getting support earlier for children. (Though that is important).
