Wow, I just realized this is my first time using this specific filter. I've read what different beings have written using this filter, but I haven't used it myself.

So, uh, hey, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or helpful hints for first time pairings? Being a former Inmate myself, I know what it's like to be on the other side which I think'll be useful, but the next part is all new to me. [He's obviously interacted with other Wardens and took on a warden like role with some of the other Inmates on board, but this time he's the one in the drivers seat.]

This is a huge deal when you think about it. I mean, I have the opportunity to help give someone a second chance of life and really change his life. The smoother I can make things go, the better.

Okay, good. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Being assigned an Inmate makes everything so much more...real.

It's not that strange. You're starting a new relationship with a lot of weight to it. You never know how things are going to work out when you start.

In this case, it's literally a life-or-death one. Although I guess if things aren't working out for whatever the reason, he could be repaired and graduate that way. But! I'm going to focus on the here and now and making this work.

Is that how you do things in the League? I mean, you might not be a Warden, but you're Superman. Multiple universes know who you are.

The League usually deals with matters outside of our own league [yes papa does puns sometimes] ...so I think the right choice of words for it would be that we just 'wing it'. There's not a hero-book of rules, I'm afraid.

As long as you have your heart in the right place and keep in mind what's right for your inmate and yourself you'll do the right thing. And don't hesitate in fear of making mistakes, that's how we learn.

I don't like to make a big deal outta the differences between wardens and inmates. Yeah, there're differences, but not as much as a lot of people both sides of the fence seem to think, and harping on it only gets you a shitton of resentment.

Don't be overbearing. Try to remember you've just been given access to all this person's deep secrets and their past, which they might not have otherwise shared.

I have to be especially careful with the second one. I tend to be an open book at times about my experiences, but that's not the same for everyone. Beings here were understandable upset when we were forced to confess all of our thoughts a few weeks ago.

And inmates moreso, in many cases; they might not wish to speak about a history which ended with them being judged to need improvement.
