Sitting on the couch with my Dad while we each did our own projects to either side of a purring cat.
Actually useful discussions.
Kitty!
Teeny-tiny craft projects, (and the fact that I currently am physically capable of doing some of them, which for a while I was not and presumably someday again won’t be.)

And repairing some battered old examples of those rather generic bird ornaments made of painted styrofoam, but with individual bits of gathered feather, ribbon, yarn, goose quill, seeds, and beads. And a permanent marker. And craft glue. I made new beaks, eyes, and plumage as needed. I’ve been The Keeper of the Birds since I played and story told with them as a child, y’see. And refused to let anyone edit any of them, necessitating an extra box. And decided to give them their own tree... See, The holiday birds hibernate all year in the box and come out to flock and breed in December... This year two felted birds and three carved gourd birds joined the flock as ornaments given to someone in the family, so it must’ve been a successful year!
