There is still a chance that I will be at the tables during O-Week, I'm seeing if there are a few things I can do to be there for most of the day at least.
BTW 2 prizes have been purchased ...
1) Read Or Die (R.O.D.) DVD - 3 Episode OVA with English Subtitles 2) Anime OST CD - Name Left Undisclosed Come See it at the Table
Also, Dance Dance Revolution may be at the table, I just have to find a Television to host it on(requires RCA Jacks)
Website has been updated with a scedule of who is expected to at the AL@B table during what day. And I am looking at getting 2 days off (tuesday & thursday). I don't expect you to be there right at 9am when the tables become available. However, I would hope that around 10am the table would be up and running. I have copies of all the forms at my house.
I apologize to inform people that I cannot lend out $25 for the table deposit, however, it is fully refundable at the end of the day. So i don't see it as that big of a problem.
Liz and Leigh, if you can possible visit the table near the end of the day on Tuesday I would be thankful. That way I can hand over the forms that need to be filled out.
I still need people for Tuesday and Thursday
Craig, I still need to get in contact with you, and I have already emailed you. There is some paperwork that needs to be done, and I need documentation form you on that subject of finance.
The only thing that I don't like is that I cannot book the first showing untill we are an actual club again. Oh well. The Target First Showing Date Is September 13.
Many Updates about BUSU and ratification information.
Liz and Craig Please View.
I would also like to ask Liz if she can assume the role of VP for the time being as well. I say this because of your previous and future contributions to the club that are very appreciated. And I won't be going anywhere soon.
I am on many colas right now, and apologize for spelling in advance.
Greetings AL@B members, In a recent turn of events I have found that I can not be president of AL@B in the upcomming year. Having founded the club and been president of the club for two years I am sad to leave AL@B but feel that AL@B has many competent members who can help keep its mission running strong. I am not sure how the selection of a new president should occur. I do suggest that the replacement not be a current executive member as then you would still have to select someone to replace another vacant role. It just isn't efficient. AL@B works best with atleast three executive members and an editor for the newsletter. I also request that any replacement please keep Liz as editor of the newsletter as she has done such a wonderful job to date and has already begun preparations for this upcomming year. Please keep in mind that the editor position is an executive position and she is involved in the planning processes of AL@B. Liz is also permitted to select her own staff. The selection process can either be done by holding an election online or I can select one from candidates who wish to have the position. I will leave this decision up to the remaining executive as to how they wish to approach this. We can arrange for a meeting online to discuss this if you wish. I suggest monday evening. Either way the information should be passed on to Jeff Kerk (VP of club affairs) (905)688-5550 ext. 3750 or Vpss@busu.net. This is the guy you need to contact to book the table for O-week aswell. I think that's all that really needs to be said. If anyone has any questions they can be sent to me personally at wasyu@sympatico.ca. Thank you, Audra Bell
Liz and I have come up with an idea. Since we have been deratified the first priority is to get reratified since we won't get a table at O week until we do. So, to that end, we need 15 signatures 10 of which must be from Brock students. We figure the best thing to do would be to have all returning members of AL@B meet in the AfterHours lounge on Sept. 1, or whenever the first day of O week is, get the signatures and get reratified. This way we can have a table for O week by the second or third day. Please respond to this post and let us know if you can or cannot make it on that day so we can make further plans. Thank you.
Hey.. just curious but when are the nights that you guys pay attention to your ljs? Every evening? I was just wondering what night would be good to post for Alab meetings (I'm only on at night time). If we could all post our suggestions or questions on the same night then we could have a 'meeting' of some sort. It would be nice to get a few things discussed and planned. We don't need everything dumped on Audra's shoulders if we can't get organized. I'm sure the position of president is stressful enough so let's try to smooth things. There are a few things to discuss that Craig and I have suggested in the previous Alab post.

Since we've had a difficult time findig a time/messenger convenient for everyone, it's probably just easier to have our executive meeting on our ala@b lj. I like the idea of selling tickets for o week. What other issues do we need to cover?
We have this lovely lovely board for Alab things, but we dont' seem to be talking much. *giggles*
Anyway, just thought I'd let you all know that yes, my friend is going to be coming to Brock. *makes happy sounds* So, I do have a coeditor. I'll have to brainstorm with her a bit on the newsletter soon.
A couple questions... will we be posting the newsletter on the webpage for the alab site? I'm just asking because we could just put it online, then it won't cost anything to photocopy and give everyone a copy. I could just say "hey everyone, it's up... go forth and read it!"
Hmm... and are we supposed to be having meetings for the executive somehow? I don't know how this is going to work... by email or through this livejournal group or is there another option?
