Resignation
Greetings AL@B members,
In a recent turn of events I have found that I can not be president of AL@B in the upcomming year. Having founded the club and been president of the club for two years I am sad to leave AL@B but feel that AL@B has many competent members who can help keep its mission running strong.
I am not sure how the selection of a new president should occur. I do suggest that the replacement not be a current executive member as then you would still have to select someone to replace another vacant role. It just isn't efficient. AL@B works best with atleast three executive members and an editor for the newsletter. I also request that any replacement please keep Liz as editor of the newsletter as she has done such a wonderful job to date and has already begun preparations for this upcomming year. Please keep in mind that the editor position is an executive position and she is involved in the planning processes of AL@B. Liz is also permitted to select her own staff.
The selection process can either be done by holding an election online or I can select one from candidates who wish to have the position. I will leave this decision up to the remaining executive as to how they wish to approach this. We can arrange for a meeting online to discuss this if you wish. I suggest monday evening.
Either way the information should be passed on to Jeff Kerk (VP of club affairs) (905)688-5550 ext. 3750 or Vpss@busu.net. This is the guy you need to contact to book the table for O-week aswell.
I think that's all that really needs to be said. If anyone has any questions they can be sent to me personally at wasyu@sympatico.ca.
Thank you,
Audra Bell
