Peter McEnery.
I am new to this community, so hello everyone! :D I was curious if anyone had any photos of Peter McEnery? He's a semi-obscure actor of the 60s (primarily) although he has played in movies up until now. I'd love it if anyone has any photos to share.
And i wanted to ask who are some of your favorite (obscure) actors of the 1960s? I am so fascinated by the abstract art like movies from the late 60s, and I am always trying to discover new moviestars from that time period, so if you have some you'd like to share, I'd love to hear them.
Thanks very much, this looks like a really cool community.

James McAvoy
I think with McAvoy what is so special, is that he plays his roles with such skill for somebody of his generation. 'He has this quality that makes him "look like he knows what he's doing when he's acting" as one of my friends put it. It's this strong quality that draws you into his character and makes you feel like he's simply being himself. I'm not an actor myself, so I ask forgiveness from any actors reading this, I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to describing or analyzing what makes me love an actor. What I think will help him immensely throughout his career is his seemingly effortless ability to slip into such a wide array of roles. I believe he's got what it takes to be up there with Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Judi Dench, and Sir Ian McKellen to name only a very very few! Just in case you don't feel like going to imdb right now, here's a short list of what he's been in that I feel exemplifes the wide array I mentioned:
(not in any real order)
- "The Last King of Scotland"
- "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe"
- "Starter for Ten"
- "Inside I'm Dancing"
- "Macbeth" (2005)
- "Children of Dune" (mini-series, 2003)
Finally, I can't properly finish my post of appreciation without going into a small rant (my roommate is trying to sleep) about his wonderful Scottish accent, his powerful yet beautiful eyes, his charm, and his adorable smiles and grins. They're really hard to describe, or at least I think so. Yep, that pretty much sums it up. Well, it doesn't. But it stresses me out knowing my light-sleeping-roomie is bothered by the sound of typing... garrrr.... Hopefully somebody responds to this and I can then continue my James McAvoy ramble at a later time.

Ok I finally got all of the SNL clips up to view and you don't have to wait to dl them. They are all up in photobucket (I finally figured out what I was doing wrong...thanks photobucket team!) so I went video crazy. I also included some other juicy tidbits like when House gets conned into speaking to the cop in Cuddy office, when House gets arrested. The next are painful to watch but Hugh's acting is so incredible: from last season where House goes through withdrawal and slams that pestle onto his hand, from where House has a heart attack and where he has just come out of surgery on his leg and is in horrible pain. I have also included my own video for the piece of fanfic I wrote. The list and links are as follows:

I also put up him doing "The Protest Song" but it is still processing. Just type in Laurie (and) SNL and you should get them all. I will put up more as I clip them.
Enjoy!

It hasn't gotten a dvd release yet, but I'm hopeful. It really is an excellent film.
