A winning combo! Or something.

Remember back in early July when I wrote about my finger infection? Well, it has not gone away and has, in fact gotten worse since then. The last part of that post kind of makes me laugh now. Not in a happy way.

The short story? I am having minor surgery tomorrow on my hand.

In other news, I marathoned Breaking Bad. It's the reason I am not caught up on any of my shows this week. Great show. I seriously cannot describe how incredible this show is. It sure hit me right in the feels more times than I could count. The series finale was a perfect, satisfying way to wrap the show up. I'll be getting the dvd eventually, and I'll make my sister watch.

This post might be a little TMI. Sort of. It's not too bad. Anyway...

It's amazing how many doctors I've been to this year. I've had so many wacky medical things happen this year, most of them minor. The kidney stone was the worst thing and required the most appointments with doctors and getting CT scans. I am tired of doctors.

I have one more medical appointment Friday, but that's for a good thing. I'm getting fitted for a new wheelchair. That should be the last appointment for awhile. I hope. *knocks on wood*

The short story? Today sucked.

I got a flu shot earlier today and my arm is seriously aching. It also hurt when I actually got it. Usually, it stings for a second and that's it. This time, it really hurt when the nurse pushed the syringe. I actually yelled "ow!" when it happened. That is unusual. I am debating getting the H1N1 vaccination, but we shall see.

So the Phillies won the National League Pennant last night. Yes, I know they were in the World Series last year, but it doesn't make it any less exciting. This whole city is once again going crazy. It's awesome.

I was hit with a wave of sadness, though, when I was reading a newspaper article about the win. There was a line in it about this being the best time ever to be a Phillies fan. It reminded that my mom is not here to see this. She does not get to witness the potential start of a dynasty. She loved the Phillies. She is where I get my love for them from. I really wish she was here right now. But I still think she somehow is.

I just got back about a half hour ago from getting a flu shot. My arm is now all stiff and achy. Ow. Also? I totally fell asleep in the waiting room. Oops. Guess I was pretty tired.

Later, I'm going out to dinner with misskris721. That'll be nice since I haven't seen her in a few months.

In other news, I started watching Corner Gas, a Canadian comedy for those who don't know. It's funny! I am almost half way through season three. I'm going to watch some more while waiting to go out to dinner.

I can already tell tomorrow is going to be a long day.

I have a dentist appointment. Since I will already be out for that, I decided that I'm going to get my foot looked at tomorrow, too. So my doctor wants to look at it to determine if it needs an x-ray or not. I foresee a lot of waiting room time. Bah.

*whimpers*

I had to get a flu shot today. That was at 1pm. When I got home, I immediately crashed. I've had a headache all day. I am not kidding when I say it's one of the worst I ever had. Ugh. I just woke up about twenty minutes ago and feeling kind of out of it at the moment.

Tomorrow, I am going to feel like crap. I always do the day after getting a flu shot.

I may go to bed early tonight.

In other news, I had an appointment with the eye doctor earlier today. It was at 11. My dad had one for 11:30. We didn't get out of there until close to one. My eye sight hasn't changed much, but I do need new glasses. Also, this was the first time I had an appointment with an eye doctor in the afternoon. Usually it's in the evening on a weekday, so I have never experienced the sun after getting the eye drops. OMG. I couldn't see very well. It was very weird.

Afterward, we went out to lunch. My dad is older now and his hearing is not so good. At the moment, I can't really hear much out of my right ear (been that way for about a week). It was rather frustrating when we couldn't hear each other at the table. Possibly amusing, too. But mostly frustrating.

On the way home, I heard "The Chain" by Fleetwood Mac. That's a song I have to turn up really loud. It's awesome.

I went to the doctor earlier to find out what's wrong with me. It's what I thought. I have a sinus infection. Fun. Only not. So she put me on the zpak. I'm glad I went to the doctor. Last time I had a sinus infection, I didn't realize it until it was too late and it had already developed into bronchitis. I really don't want that to happen again. Hopefully I will be healthy again soon.

In other news, Wicked is returning to Philly in July at the Academy of Music. I need to try to get tickets.

I had a doctor's appointment today. Just a check-up. Everything seems to be okay. I need to get my eyes checked, though. And my knee. Those are the most important appointments I need to make.

My dad and I went out to lunch afterward. Good times.

When I got home, there were shiny things waiting for me in the mail. There was a card from binx_349! Yay! There were stickers inside that I put on my laptop, hee. There was also the first three seasons of Gilmore Girls on DVD that I purchased from danamulder (it was an awesome deal, yo). *glees*

And then there was the amazon box waiting for me from misskris721! She got me the first two Starburst Editions of Farscape S3! YAY!!! Thank you!! Yes, I was bad and opened it now. It was an amazon box. I am incapable of not opening amazon boxes. I am thinking about watching "Infinite Possibilities." But do I really need that much angst right now? ;)

I still need to start holiday cards. *is such a slacker omg*

And then there are the fics I still need to write. Meep.
