Headcanon meme, Jamie/Tyler
Nov. 13th, 2018 05:12 pmwho initiates sex more often?
I said this on the last one, and it's true here, too: it depends on what story I'm telling you. Consider:
- The story where Tyler has a carefully crafted timeline for his friends-with-benefits arrangements -- how much to text, how soon to text back, how often to make the first move/initiate sex -- so he doesn't seem needy or clingy. (He knows how he comes across sometimes, okay?) Which means that Jamie ends up being the one who initiates sex more often. Tyler thinks it's going great, until one days Jamie sits him down and says, "Hey, listen, it seems like you're not that into this whole thing we've got going on. You never ask me to stay over, it seems like I'm always the one who starts stuff. If you changed your mind, or you're not, um-- we can stop." And Tyler has to explain that no, he's into it, he's super into it, into Jamie, and he just didn't want to seem needy. "I kind of want to be with someone who needs me," Jamie says. (Thing even out more after that, but Tyler still succumbs to that inner voice that says stop being so clingy, stop looking so desperate every so often.)
- But if you want to tell me about the version where Tyler is the one who is comfortable with who he is and confident about going after what he wants, and Jamie is the one who is more uncertain and insecure, I WOULD BE INTO IT.
- You know there was a long period of time when Tyler was not the one initiating sex after this interview happened. ("Oh, sorry, I thought you were single, Jamie.")
- Jamie Benn, service top, who always knows when Tyler needs it and offers it before Tyler even asks.
- And just because I want to see more of Jamie as a sub: the story Tyler is the experienced one, the one who has fooled around a lot and tried pretty much everything once, and Jamie has, uh, googled some stuff. Tyler makes a joke about tying Jamie down so he can calm down and get out of his own head (or maybe about Jumbo Joe spanking Jamie after that fight), and Jamie is embarrassed about how into it he is. So obviously, Tyler has to help him figure out what he wants. Tyler's the one who initiates most of the sex, partly because Jamie doesn't even know what to ask for, what he can have. (And then later, partly because Jamie just likes waiting, dragging it out for both of them, until he can get Tyler to break and give him what they both want.)
- The version where they each think the other one initiates things more, because Tyler is so touchy-feely and Jamie's not used to that. (Jamie's hooked up with guys before, but there wasn't a lot of non-sexual cuddling.) So they'll be watching tv on the couch and Tyler will stretch out and rest his head on Jamie's thigh, and Jamie's thigh is just so muscular he can't help snuggling into it a little. And Jamie had been ready to just watch tv, but now Tyler is rubbing his cheek practically on Jamie's cock, and Jamie thinks, "Oh, blowjobs, okay, sure." He starts running his fingers through Tyler's hair and nudging his sweats down, and Tyler -- who really had just wanted to watch tv -- also thinks, "Oh, blowjobs, sure." (In some universes, they talk this out and learn to use their words when they want to have sex, but in some universes they live happily ever after without ever realizing they each think the other is the insatiable sex fiend in the relationship.)
