I did notice however that soldiers in the opening shot are in Berlin, but the soldiers (the ones that aren't American) are wearing Belgian flag patches.

I've just been away from LJ for a while.
One of the things that has been keeping me away has been roller derby.
For those that don't want to read the whole wikipedia page there is also a crash course in roller derby on YouTube.
There's a lot of training, but also commitee meetings, helping out at scrimmages and bouts, wich I will do again tomorrow in Hamburg, where my team Amsterdam Derby Dames will play against the Hamburg Harbor Girls.
I will be a Non Skating Offcial at the bout. No skating for me yet, because I first have to pass the minimal skills test,
which is April 14th. *crosses fingers that I will pass*
This is it for now. There will be more derby posts later. I have to get up early tomorrow, meet up with the rest of the team (at 8 am) get to Hamburg, have a great time at the bout and after party. And then go back again on sunday.
If you're near Hamburg and don't have plans tomorrow night, come to the bout. It will be awesome :)
PS. The name/theme of the bout is: Veilchen Auf die Tulpen. Is there someone German who can tell me what that means?
