Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard

For sensitive matters, you may contact an individual bureaucrat directly by e-mail.
The Bureaucrats' noticeboard is a place where items related to the Bureaucrats can be discussed and coordinated. Any user is welcome to leave a message or join the discussion here. Please start a new section for each topic.
This is not a forum for grievances. It is a specific noticeboard addressing Bureaucrat-related issues. If you want to know more about an action by a particular bureaucrat, you should first raise the matter with them on their talk page. Please stay on topic, remain civil, and remember to assume good faith. Take extraneous comments or threads to relevant talk pages.
If you are here to report that an RFA or an RFB is "overdue" or "expired", please wait at least 12 hours from the scheduled end time before making a post here about it. There are a fair number of active bureaucrats; and an eye is being kept on the time remaining on these discussions. Thank you for your patience.

Resysop request (Fathoms Below)
editHello there. After my desysop request last month, I wanted to take a break from Wikipedia due to some stressful things that were happening behind the scenes. I was expecting to take a longer break, but an excellent support network of friends (including some Wikipedians) that I have gained off-wiki has been giving me generous help and advice. I'm going to be off work for at least a month soon, so I'll be attempting to get back into the swing of admin work. If anyone has questions, feel free to ask them here. Thanks, Fathoms Below (talk) 21:00, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
- That's good to hear. Starting the standard 24 hour clock, for ref this was the desysoprequest. ϢereSpielChequers 22:18, 11 December 2025 (UTC)

- In heavier news,
- UtherSRG (talk · contribs · blocks · protections · deletions · page moves · rights · RfA)
- has not passed their EfA, which I believe means they have been recalled by the community. theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 19:39, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
- On a side note, I'd like to urge the community not to use EFA as jargon to refer to administrator elections. There are plenty of other jargon terms already for admin elections. I appreciate it's one of the uppercase shortcuts listed on the administrator elections page, but jargon loses whatever its efficacy it has when there are too many synonyms. I would appreciate it! isaacl (talk) 19:57, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
- I'd like to urge the community to use it, if only so the next one can be WP:E4A (courtesy ping of @Theleekycauldron for the idea). Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 20:52, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
- I will agree with isaacl on this one, I was hella confused even after reading the message; it wasn't until I saw Urther's name that it clicked. I much prefer AELECT. Primefac (talk) 22:34, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
- I'm with Primefac and isaacl, EFA is far less intuitive than AELECT and it wasn't until I hovered over the link to the page with "administrator elections" in the title that I understood the context. I would also strongly object to E4A, which should be restricted to either an acronym EEEEA or to a 6-letter word starting with E and ending in A (c.f. I18n, A16z, AO3, etc). - I have processed all the promotions as well as Uther's permission removal. Barkeep49 (talk) 20:06, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
