Really, I don't like that style in the way you are splitting the transfers, it looks so messy and is unnecessary, can you please undo the rest please. Govvy (talk) 13:32, 16 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

I don't think it's messy. It's just to organize and differentiate between academy and first team. If you think this is messy you can revert it all. Thfeeder (talk) 13:37, 16 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Transfers have nothing to do with academy or first team know. A transfer is a transfer, nothing more, nothing less, where a player plays is different. So please, I am really not a fan of that style you created, it looks ... odd to me. Govvy (talk) 15:06, 16 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Mobility Resort Motegi. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Issue with "Western name order" hatnote at Yifei Ye

edit

Hey there! It looks like you reversed the names in the first hatnote at Yifei Ye from "Ye Yifei" to "Yifei Ye" in this edit.

The hatnote is there to show what Yifei Ye's name is in Chinese (the "native form") – in Chinese, the surname is written first. The hatnote should read "Ye Yifei", even though the article is titled "Yifei Ye" (how he is commonly known in English-language sources). More generally, if the hatnote lists the same title as the page, we wouldn't need a hatnote, would we? :)

I've fixed this for you now, but I just wanted to let you about it in case you encounter this template again. Toadspike [Talk] 09:40, 10 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

PONOS Racing

edit

PONOS Racing is a sponsorship identity, like Supercheap Auto Racing for example, and any attempt to label it as anything other - i.e. the way you've written the article - is misleading. Language like "The former number 10 GAINER Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 was replaced by the number 45 Ferrari 296 GT3 entered by PONOS Racing" is also incredibly convoluted and reads like advertising; change it. 2001:8003:268E:A800:DD52:3678:1A61:B4C7 (talk) 22:37, 15 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

I get what you mean. But previous years in motorsport there is plenty of sponsorship that really owns the team like British American Racing which owned by British American Tobacco, Super Nova Racing is sponsored by Nova a Japanese company, and Leyton House Racing which a rebranded team from March by Leyton House a Japanese company. The team itself started sponsoring other teams and use PONOS Racing on their entry list, and now they have run independently. Also I did not write to mislead as "The former number 10 GAINER Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 was replaced by the number 45 Ferrari 296 GT3 entered by PONOS Racing" is a fact that the number 10 car of GAINER replaced by the 45 PONOS Racing. I did not have the intention to promote and advertising as what is the point doing that, and I did not get money out of it. It is you feel like the page act like an advertisment. B-Max SFL entries

edit

Hey there, thanks for all your work on the Japanese racing series articles! I saw your addition of B-Max's SFL entries and was wondering if you know anything about their team structure for 2025 - are they back to running all their cars under one team, or will they announce who enters under which guise later on? Because if the first is true, we should report that in the team changes section, but if the latter is true, we have to wait for that announcement. Cheers, Hmnphl (talk) 07:24, 20 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Delightworks and Toda

edit

Hi there, I looked at the source you added to the Delightworks section for the 2025 SFL article. I was wondering how that confirms that Delightworks is indeed replacing Toda Racing, as that is not mentioned in the source. Could you explain that a little more to me? Thanks! Hmnphl (talk) 06:30, 25 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunately that there is no proper information that Delightworks replacing Toda Racing. But based on post season testing, and social media posting in X and Instagram, they take over the team's SFL entry. They tested with Toda's car and use the delightworks name. I don't think it's a rebrand on Toda or a sponsorship rebranding like Invicta Racing in F2, as I feel Delightworks is a new entity. That's the only info I can see. Non-attributed translations

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from ja:Apr_(自動車事業) to Apr (racing team). While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:

NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.

Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 22:48, 13 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Luca Gunter / Tottenham Hotspur FC

edit

Hi. To avoid repeat edits, can we discuss this? I am repeatedly saying Gunter is a part of the first team squad according to the cited source https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2025/august/202526-premier-league-squad-numbers-confirmed/ dated 15 August. You are disregarding this. I am aware Gunter is not part of the squad on https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/teams/men/players/ which is why I cite both sources at the head of the section on the page. It certainly doesn't help when two sources on the same website give different information but perhaps this will be resolved when the final squad is announced at the end of the window. Perhaps it's something that should be discussed by a wider group on the THFC talk page in an attempt to reach a broad consensus and avoid argument. Views? LenF54 (talk) 16:34, 29 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. Even tho Luca Gunter have a listed number in, he's not part of the first team squad in the their website [1]. Even from last season his name was listed along with Mikey Moore [2]. So I removed it as he's not listed as part of first team, and if I put him in the academy part, he can't as he has not played in a competitive first-team match. I feel better to remove the "The following current Under–21 or Under–18 players have played in a competitive first-team match for Tottenham Hotspur." line and we put him in the academy bracket. Do you agree? user:LenF54 Hope can be resolve. Thfeeder (talk) 00:52, 30 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Sorry but no. As I said Gunter is not part of the squad on their website but IS part of the squad on the more recent list of 15 August, which says "we can confirm our list of Premier League squad numbers for the new campaign". Premier League. I agree he should not be included in the academy sub-section, for the reason you state. I see no reason to remove the line you mention - Arsenal, Brighton, Chelsea, Manchester City and Newcastle all include similar, while there are some other Premier League clubs that include a full academy listing on what could be regarded as the first-team page. Getting back to the sticking point, you put no weight behind the source list of 15 August and perhaps I put too much weight behind it. I don't think you and I alone can resolve this and I see nothing useful in hitting the ball backwards and forwards; perhaps one of us should put something on the THFC talk page and open up the discussion to see if some of the regular contributors can help. Regards, LenF54 (talk) 17:30, 30 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
The problem is even tho his name appeared in the list, his name in the wiki page of first team squad and even in the academy did not include him and that is already a whole year his name was not listed. Even when Alfie Devine & Dane Scarlett got minutes playing time and their names were not part of the first team before they were promoted thus named it to the list. And I am not lying for saying that as I've observe this page countless times and I know if there's wrong part I change it thus why I remove Luca Gunter part because it was never meant in the first place but constantly add by some new users. If you feel that my part of doing is wrong, you may add Luca Gunter name to the list or ask the thfc talkpage about this as I do not want to drag this discussion too long. I read the note, but why should someone who has a penalty get the title of pole position and three points? First place belonged to Dennis. Also, why did they give the fastest lap point to Nato, who is not among the top ten drivers? The writings are contradictory. Amini1999ad (talk) 19:36, 6 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

It's within the rules. Wherlein got a penalty for wheelspinning in the pitlane during qualifying, which is not related to affect the quali time thus he still gets the point. While Nato in fact did not get the point for FL, seems someone edit did not realise that.
While I see you have a good intent to edit some articles and create ones, please do it properly. I saw some of your edits are not correct, looks disruptive, and people will assume you for doing vandalism if you did not fix and know how to edit page properly. There's a reason on why lots of your edits are being reverted and remove, because it's not right and not needed. While wikipedia is free to edit, and add information, you need to follow the rules.
We all make mistakes, and I for one sometimes made one. But, you need to stop with these edits that people will assume you as disruptive. Also I tell you, if you want to ask regarding an article, please put the message on the article's talk, like for example on the Talk:2025–26 Formula E World Championship page, and not on my page as someone who are more inform than me can answer some questions.
You have to learn a lot to do some editing, and understanding when is the correct way to post an article as you cannot post on your free will and thinking it's ready just like about the 2026 F1 Academy season when you did not do it properly and not doing it in draft first. Once again please realise that you need to learn edit properly. Thfeeder (talk) 03:45, 7 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
If Wikipedia is open for exchanging information, then what's wrong with me adding more information? Are you upset that I left a message on your page? You asked me a question, and I answered it on your page. Yes, I need to learn how to edit, and I'm still a beginner. Amini1999ad (talk) 06:24, 7 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
Just learn how to read the points standings on the website and the rules and then you’ll be okay. 👍 RxxingAddict (talk) 18:18, 7 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

The names of four young drivers are not on the Mercedes site driver list. Their page cannot be found. Their contract has ended. Also, Pin is not in F1 Academy, so it should not be listed. Amini1999ad (talk) 12:52, 9 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

My bad. Yes what you did was correct. The way you edit once again made me thinking you just play around with the article. Next time you have to placed the drivers to the "Former drivers" section, you can't just left it on the "Current drivers" and add the year they not continue the program, then The F1 Academy can't left empty, just add TBA on it because the next year there will be one that will drive under Mercedes. Thank you so much. I still can't edit well. My ability was just at this level. Amini1999ad (talk) 13:24, 9 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

OrphanReferenceFixer: Help on reversion

edit

Hi there! I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. Recently, you reverted my fix to 2025 Super Formula Championship.

If you did this because the references should be removed from the article, you have misunderstood the situation. Most likely, the article originally contained both <ref name="foo">...</ref> and one or more <ref name="foo"/> referring to it. Someone then removed the <ref name="foo">...</ref> but left the <ref name="foo"/>, which results in a big red error in the article. I replaced one of the remaining <ref name="foo"/> with a copy of the <ref name="foo">...</ref>; I did not re-insert the reference to where it was deleted, I just replaced one of the remaining instances. What you need to do to fix it is to make sure you remove all instances of the named reference so as to not leave any big red error.

If you reverted because I made an actual mistake, please be sure to also correct any reference errors in the page so I won't come back and make the same mistake again. Also, please post an error report at User talk:AnomieBOT so my operator can fix me! If the error is so urgent that I need to be stopped, also post a message at User:AnomieBOT/shutoff/OrphanReferenceFixer. Thanks!
