Susan Castle

Susan Castle is an Australian business and marketing professional noted for her work in the coffee, chocolate, and food retail sectors. She has been the subject of multiple feature articles and interviews in Australian newspapers, trade publications, and broadcast media since the mid-1990s, particularly in relation to her roles in chocolate buying, café retail concepts, and organic coffee marketing.

Castle has received significant coverage in independent Australian media over several decades.

In April 1996, she was the subject of a full-page profile interview in the Herald Sun’s Exposé weekend section. The feature, titled “Susan Castle – Chocolate Buyer”, focused on her role as a chocolate buyer at Myer and presented an extended question-and-answer interview discussing chocolate sourcing, taste evaluation, international trends, and product development. The article included a large photograph of Castle and positioned her as an expert in confectionery buying.[1]

In May 1999, Momentum magazine published a feature article titled Inside Australia’s Freshest Café Concept, which quoted Castle extensively on café retail design, customer experience, and merchandising strategy. In 1999, Castle established Pentacle Marketing & Concepts, a consultancy specialising in marketing strategy for coffee, chocolate, and food retail businesses.
