Talk:Bitwise ternary logic instruction
Libre-SOC extended these
editLibre-SOC extended these and made the immediate8 a register operand (3-in 1-out instruction) which tends to be expensive. variants were added which made the 3rd operand a binary LUT2 using a CR (Condition Register) as they are conveniently 4-bit long https://libre-soc.org/openpower/sv/tern_bin/ Lkcl (talk) 11:21, 7 August 2025 (UTC)

Context
editI suggest adding something near the beginning of the article to put this topic in context. Possibly something indicating what field this topic is in. Also, not necessarily at the beginning, it might be helpful to compare and contrast this topic to other similar topics. Otherwise, I'm impressed to see how this article has been developing! - thx good advice - I would follow up but I hide the fact that I have Asperger's, so what seems simple (and I agree is really useful) I can only grasp intuitively! but persistent research and "grab a link and document it" is dead-easy for me and kinda relaxing / intriguing. what I'm trying to say is: I need some more explicit clues on what you mean. I really wanted to avoid, for example, duplicating the contents of the Bitwise_operation page etc. an explicit disambiguation with that? ahhh a "Further" template would achieve that. what do you think?
