Having started in telecommunications, the company has since expanded to support customers in finance, insurance, logistics, utilities, and retail.[2]
History
editExacaster was co-founded in 2011 by Egidijus Pilypas and Šarūnas Chomentauskas.[3] Chomentauskas is listed as the director of Exacaster, UAB in Lithuanian company registries.[4]
In 2013, the Lithuanian news portal TV3 reported that Exacaster had entered into a partnership with US consultancy 151 Advisors to promote its cloud-based customer behaviour modelling services in the North American telecommunications market, and that its systems were then analysing the behaviour of several million mobile subscribers in Europe and the United States.[5]
The company's export activity has also been supported by European Union structural funds. An entry in Lithuania's official EU funds database records a project to support Exacaster's export development in Western Europe, the Middle East and North America as well as Latin America.[6]
A 2021 article in the Lithuanian business daily Verslo žinios reported that Exacaster's revenue in 2020 was around €3.8 million and described plans for further growth and possible external investment.[1]
Activities
editExacaster develops software and provides professional services to analyse customer data, model customer behaviour, and automate marketing and customer value management (CVM) decisions. According to business press reports, the software (CVM Platform) has been applied primarily in telecommunications, with additional use cases in retail, finance, insurance, logistics, utilities, and other subscription-based industries.[7]
Deloitte’s summary of its 2016 Technology Fast 50 Central Europe ranking stated that Exacaster’s customer data and marketing automation platforms were being used at that time by telecom operators in Western Europe as well as in North and South America, automatically analysing the behaviour of more than ten million customers each day.[8] A later overview of the Lithuanian technology ecosystem described Exacaster as operating in sixteen telecommunications markets and in several other industries.[2]
In addition to providing software, consulting, and managed services, Exacaster promotes educational activities related to customer value management. The company, together with industry practitioners from the telecommunications sector (Silvia Gomez Dominguez, Kristine Raumane), produced one of the first bodies of knowledge for the Customer Value Management Body of Knowledge (CVMBoK) and a podcast series, CVM Stories.[9][10] Exacaster also publishes industry research, such as the annual CVM Trends reports, which analyse the state of CVM in the telecommunications sector. These materials are designed to support knowledge sharing and professional development in CVM.
Markets
editReports and rankings in the mid-2010s described Exacaster as supplying analytics and customer-modelling systems to mobile and fixed-line telecommunications operators in Europe and in the Americas.[1][5] Later ecosystem surveys characterise its activities as extending to other sectors that use recurring-payment or subscription models, including retail, finance, insurance, logistics, and utilities.[2]
Technology
editExacaster’s Customer Data Platform (CDP) is in the MarTech category, acting as a central hub to unify customer data from all sources (web, app, CRM, etc.) into single, real-time profiles (360° view) for personalized experiences and audience segmentation. The Exacaster CDP platform was introduced in 2020, initially focusing on telecommunications use cases in response to demand for specialized CDP solutions capable of handling complex customer behavior and identity resolution in telecom environments.[11]
Today, the CDP product forms the foundation of Exacaster’s broader customer value management ecosystem, unifying customer data from sources including CRM systems, network records, mobile, and digital interactions into a single accessible repository. It supports advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities for segmentation, churn prediction, and personalized campaign activation.[11]
In 2025, Exacaster officially expanded its product suite under the Exacaster CVM Platform brand, integrating CDP functionality with tools for next-best-action recommendations and omnichannel campaign management. This rebranding was accompanied by legal filings for the Exacaster CVM Platform trademark in the European Union.[12]
The platform features four main modules:
- Exacaster Core: a customer data platform that unifies data from various sources into actionable insights.
- Exacaster Match: an AI-powered recommendations engine for the next best offer (NBO), action (NBA), or experience (NBE).
- Exacaster Keep: a retention tool that identifies customers at risk of churn.
- Exacaster Flow: an omnichannel campaign management tool designed to orchestrate personalized customer experiences.
Partnerships
editIn July 2025, Exacaster announced a collaborative alliance with KPMG in India focused on customer value management in the telecommunications sector. The partnership combines Exacaster’s CVM Platform technology with KPMG India’s advisory and implementation capabilities, aimed at supporting telecom operators in customer analytics, retention, and churn management.[13]
Exacaster is also an industry partner in the MERIT project, a European Union initiative under the Digital Europe Programme focused on developing advanced digital skills in artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and cybersecurity. The project involves four universities—Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Riga Technical University, and Tallinn University of Technology—and includes contributions from Exacaster in data analytics expertise and curriculum development.[14]
Recognition
editIn 2014, Exacaster received an award in the services category of the Knowledge Economy Company (Žinių ekonomikos įmonė) programme organised by the Knowledge Economy Forum under the patronage of the President of Lithuania.[15]
The company has appeared several times in Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 Central Europe ranking. It was listed in 2016, when Deloitte reported four-year revenue growth of about 408 percent,[8] and again in 2018 and 2019 with reported growth rates of 529 percent and 474 percent respectively.[16]
Exacaster has also been included in Deloitte's wider Technology Fast 500 EMEA list, ranking 418th in the 2017 edition.[17] A 2021 article in Verslo žinios noted that the company had been listed in the FT 1000: Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies ranking compiled by the Financial Times.[1] In addition, Exacaster was named among "100 Central & Eastern Europe’s Emerging Tech Stars" in a listing prepared by the Financial Times, Google, Res Publica and the International Visegrad Fund.[18]
