Spin.AI (legally Spin Technology, Inc.) is an American cybersecurity company focused on securing data in SaaS applications. Its platform, SpinOne, combines backup and recovery with SaaS security posture management and protection against data loss and leakage.[1][2]

History

Spin Technology was founded in 2017 by Dmitry Dontov in Palo Alto, California.[3] In 2022, the company raised US$16 million in Series A funding led by Blueprint Equity.[3] In April 2024, CRN reported that Spin.AI launched its first formal partner program for resellers and MSPs.[4] During Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Wired noted that the company maintained engineering operations in Ukraine while relocating some staff to Portugal.[5]
