Embee Software Private Limited is an Indian information technology services company that provides cloud infrastructure services, enterprise software implementation, cybersecurity solutions, and managed IT services. The company was founded in 1989 and is headquartered in Mumbai, India.[1]

Embee Software operates across multiple Indian cities and serves clients in sectors including manufacturing, banking and financial services, information technology, retail, healthcare, logistics, and media.

History

Embee Software was founded in 1989 by Sudhir Kothari.[2] The company initially operated as a software licensing and reselling partner for global technology vendors, including Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, SAP, Cisco, and Adobe.

During the 2000s, Embee Software expanded into systems integration and enterprise IT services. According to credit rating agency ICRA, the company’s business later became significantly aligned with Microsoft-related enterprise and cloud services.

By the 2010s, Embee Software had diversified into cloud migration projects, managed services, and cybersecurity operations for enterprise clients across India.[3]

Acquisition by Noventiq

In January 2021, Noventiq Group (formerly Softline Group) acquired a majority stake in Embee Software through its Indian subsidiary, Noventiq Services India Private Limited.[4]

The remaining stake was acquired in 2023, making Embee Software a wholly owned subsidiary of Noventiq Holdings plc, according to ICRA disclosures.[5]

Industry coverage described the acquisition as part of Noventiq’s strategy to expand its cloud and cybersecurity services portfolio in India.

Leadership

The company was founded by Sudhir Kothari, who serves as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. As of 2024, Embee Software operates as a subsidiary of Noventiq Holdings plc.[6]
