Buba Barnabas Luka (born 21 September 1991), known professionally as ClassiQ,[1] is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and rapper.[2] he gained attention with his debut release "Sama"[3] then national recognition after the release of "King Kong" (Remix) by Vector the Viper featuring Phyno, Reminisce, ClassiQ himself & Uzi.[4][5][6]
Early life
editClassiQ was born on the 21st of September, 1991, in Bauchi State, which falls in the North-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria.[7] He is the first child of his parent with two younger siblings. His father was a lecturer. He attended Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Staff Primary School for his elementary education. After finishing his secondary school studies and meeting necessary requirements, he went further to Bayero University in Kano, where he studied Computer Science and graduated in 2009.[8]
Career
editClassiQ started his career when he was very young,[9] at the age of 16 years old. He sings his songs in 2 languages: Hausa and English.[10] This music style of ClassiQ attracted many music fans, which made him gain wide recognition in the Nigerian music industry, especially the Hausa music industry.[2]
