Buildbuddy is a UK price comparison website for the construction industry, founded in 2022. Aimed at SME builders and building firms, the site scans online building material prices, allowing visitors to compare costs across different retailers.[1]
Buildbuddy was co-founded by Alix Baldwin (previously MD at comparison site Funeral Choice)[2] and Jamie Menzies (Zebra Property Group)[3]. It raised £1m in seed capital in 2024[4] and has support from past and present executives from Skyscanner, including Shane Corstorphine.[5]
In 2025 Buildbuddy was named one of Cemex Ventures Top 50 Contech Startups for 2025.[6]
