History
editIn 2000, Applied Optoelectronics opened its headquarters and manufacturing facility in Sugar Land.[1]
The company launched on NASDAQ in 2013. On July 17, 2023, Microsoft signed a deal with the company to design and assemble products.[2] In 2025, Amazon signed an option deal to buy shares in exchange for purchasing the company's products.[3]
