Background
editThe platform was released on August 30, 2022.[4] It initially supported Web (REST) APIs, later adding support for GraphQL, WebSocket and gRPC.[5][6]
In 2025, Apidog introduced functionality related to the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server and tools for integration with external AI systems.[7][8][9]
Features
editApidog provides options for creating and sharing API specifications and managing data models. It includes tools for documentation, version control and running a mock server to generate test data. Automated testing can be carried out using multi-step scenarios with assertions.[10][11][12]
