History
editActiveCampaign was founded in 2003 by Jason VandeBoom as an on-premises email marketing provider.[2] During the early 2010s, the company migrated to a subscription-based SaaS model.[2][3]
ActiveCampaign received its first external investment in 2016, a US$20 million Series A led by Silversmith Capital Partners.[4] A US$100 million Series B followed in January 2020, led by Susquehanna Growth Equity.[5][6] In April 2021, the company raised a US$240 million Series C led by Tiger Global, valuing the business at more than US$3 billion.[7]

editActiveCampaign's platform combines email marketing, marketing automation, and sales CRM.[12][13] The company introduced generative AI capabilities in 2023.[14]
