О себе
При росте метр шестьдесят и весе пятьдесят пять килограммов я нисколько не комплексую и считаю, что в меня можно не только влюбиться, но и потерять от любви ко мне голову. А мои очки с толстыми линзами только подчеркивают мою самобытность и неповторимость.
А ещё я люблю писать стихи, как в свободное время, так и на службе. И хотя по этому поводу у меня было несколько неприятных моментов на службе, я так и не смог отказаться от этого увлекательнейшего занятия, приносящего мне истинное удовольствие.
Почему я пошёл работать в ЧОП охранником?
Скорее всего в выборе профессии не последнюю роль сыграло «непыльность» данной специальности и всякое исключение физического труда на данном поприще. Поэтому сразу же после окончания юридического факультета геологоразведочного колледжа, я не задумываясь махнул в частные охранники.
А еще хочу признаться тебе, читатель, что я заядлый курильщик со стажем. И как бы отец не «бился» с моей пагубной привычкой, надо сказать, что он это сражение проиграл с треском. И теперь две пачки никотиновой отравы в сутки — для меня является нормой.

cats are always encouraged, but a variety of animals, like dogs, birds, ferrets, guinea pigs, snakes, lizards, rabbits, etc would be awesome too!

What's a good way to clean a skeleton of its skin/flesh/fur? I found a dried out, decomposed skunk carcass that I'd like to get the skull from. Should I just bury it in the yard and wait a bit?

What is life?
Since September i've been working on a project. I have neglected posting about it here because i wanted to really dig in and understand it myself before i felt ready to share or debate.
Basically I want to redefine what we consider to be alive as our reasons for excluding what most consider "inanimate objects" just doesn't make sense to me and I would argue don't make sense even according to our current ideas of what is alive. It also solves the question of when did life "arise" on the planet as its always been here, just in a way that is different than what we think of as life. The earth itself is alive, so instead of there being this almost mystical change over from "inanimate matter" into "life" we have simply an evolution from one form of life to another, molecules into single cell organisms. It makes a lot more sense science usually prefers the simpler explanation.
Anway i've done a lot of writing and a lot more thinking on the subject and most of it is posted on my blog which I welcome you to read, comment on and question with me.

Hey, zoologists. I just made a new community and I thought that it might be of interest to you.
skull_quiz is a weekly challenge where I will post a different skull every week, and then invite you to guess what it is. At the end of the week, I'll reveal the animal's secret identity.
I hope that it will be a fun way for people to share their cool skull pictures, learn a little bit of comparative anatomy, and just get some exposure to tetrapod diversity that they might not have seen. If it sounds like your kind of thing, please check us out, and take a guess on the week's featured creature.
Also, if you're keen on modding, I'd love to have you, especially if you have mammal, fish or bird skull photos to share, since I'm currently pretty heavily slanted to herpetology and paleo.
