Now that I’ve made my final ficcy posting of the year, it’s time to do my annual round-up of stories great and small for the year 2010:
Sanctuary:
I’ll Leave with Every Piece of You (Helen/John; R) Deep down, Helen has always known John to be her one true weakness.
Best Laid Plans (John Druitt, Nikola Tesla; PG) I don’t know why, but I seem to have a thing for conversations between Druitt and Tesla. Maybe it’s because they are both so awesome?
To Live Beyond the Limitations of Our Past Ways (John Druitt, Nikola Tesla; G) ‘I ask only because this is not the sort of thing Helen will easily forgive.’
Stargate SG1:
Time Enough for Countin’ When the Dealin’s Done (Jack/Sam & Team Silliness; PG) Sam is a decorated Air Force Colonel who’s travelled the universe. Blown up a sun and saved the world. Literally. So enduring whatever humiliation may be hiding inside the seemingly innocuous grocery bag should be a piece of cake. Right?
Perhaps it does do to Dwell (Jack/Sam, Team; PG) But dwell was exactly what Jack ended up doing.
The Evil Eye of Accusation (Jack/Sam, Jack O’Neill, Daniel Jackson; PG) All those alternate realities Daniel; you didn’t get even a little suspicious?
Scientific Method (Sam Carter, Catherine Langford; G) The last thing Catherine needed right now was another over-eager, starry-eyed officer whose only concern was making Major before her next birthday.
Four times I Bumped into Shelly Maxwell (And One Time She Bumped into Me) (Sam Carter; PG) When Shelly Maxwell first moved into The Belvedere, she caused a bit of a stir – mostly by not causing one at all.
The Stars in Their Courses (Jack/Sam; PG) It’s why they keep looking.
Honalee (Fluffy Teamy Goodness; G) ‘O’Neill, what kind of musical group is ‘Peter, Paul and Puff’?’
A Nice Ring to It (Jack/Sam; PG) It’s been days now since Sam's unexpected promotion and though she enjoys the warm swell of pride she feels at the sound of her new title, the practiced nonchalance in Jack's voice is telling her there’s more to his presence here than a desire to offer yet another round of congratulations.
Battlestar Galactica:
Where Everybody Knows Your Name (Crack!fic Crossover; PG) ’Hidin' from the wife?’ Norm asks, taking a sip of his beer as he casts a speculative glance at the man sitting next to him. Saul throws back a shot before replying dryly, ‘You could say that.’
Roads Left in Both of Our Shoes (Adama/Roslin; Bill Adama, Lee Adama; PG) All in all, it’s a good life – if sometimes lonely. Not perfect by any means, but it’s enough.
Butterfly Effect (Roslin/Adar; PG) There’s something different about Richard that Laura can’t quite put her finger on; and that has her feeling more…aware of him than she can ever remember having been before.
Multi-Fandom:
Fighting Back in Three (or more) Dimensions (Girl Power!; PG) 'So we’re all in agreement; this thing is absolute dren. The question is: what are we going to do about it?'
My Ficcy Conclusions:
1. I wrote a lot this year. A LOT.
2. Holy multi-fannishness, Batman!
3. Um, fluffy crack!fic much?
4. Um, angstfest much?
5. OMGWTFBBQ! I multiship!?!
Wonder what sort of stories next year will bring? *g*
**Drabbles not included because if they were, this list would have taken all day. For serious.
