Where were you from? I was living in Arizona when I was first into the zines, now I am in Washington state.
What screen names did you have during the zine era? I had many, but my main one was jealousyride.
What zines did you have? My first memorable one was Garden of Stars. I also had Typical Teenager, Acrimony, Stars &Skulls, Silver Side Up... too many to remember. Lol.
How long were you into zines (approx. what years)? Hmm, I know I was about 13 when I first got involved with the zines and I disappeared when I was 19, so a good 6 years?
What about zines do you remember and still sticks out in your mind? The excitement of signing on and having HUNDREDS of emails! And always wondering, "Will such and such zine be out today?!" It was a lot of fun, when all the drama and trash talk wasn't happening though honestly I am sure that spiked some of the excitement too.
Did you visit zine chats/message boards? I can't even find them anymore. =(

Do you keep in touch with anyone from zines? I have maybe 6-7 girls on my FB friends list.

Do you have a job? Yes, I work at WinCo Foods as a cashier/go backs.
Where do you live now? Kelso, Washington.
Are you involved in any organizations? No.
What do you do in your spare time? Honestly, I feel like work and sleep consume most of my time. I don't watch as much TV anymore, a lot of my favorite shows have ended and I just haven't had time to get into any new ones. I spend a lot of time with my mom, sister and niece. I am now trying to get back into zines, but I still play my Sims and I got back into Runescape too. 3: I'm kind of boring. Lol.

Oh man I can't believe I found you people! I had thought that this entire thing was completely forgotten about on the internet. Thanks for proving this wasn't some sort of fever dream.

What zines did you have? oh god. I believe mine was originally called "Teen Magazine" (creative!) and then I changed the name to Gurlie. (which I believe stood for something...?) I also had one that was more creative writing focused that's name had something to do with an ocean I think. It wasn't nearly as popular.
How long were you into zines (approx. what years)? It was mostly my 5th and 6th grade years which would've been 1998-2000ish
What about zines do you remember and still sticks out in your mind? So much! learning how to create links to get people to send you emails saying they were subscribing and unsubcribing--the fact everyone referred to subscribers as "subbys"--trying to get people to write articles for me and then giving up and writing them myself--fighting with my parents over how much I was taking over the phone (ah the days of dial-up!)
