(I managed to not even post a link to the hockey holidays fic I wrote. Back in December.
And I want these words to make things right. It's pre-Claude Giroux/Evgeni Malkin fic. Four times Claude was disappointed by the name on his wrist and one time it might be okay.

Anyway, now that that self-plug is done. On to the posting meme.

Well, I've been seeing 'everyone' doing posting memes lately and I really want to get back into the habit of using my dreamwidth.

It's almost like there's a solution to my problem RIGHT THERE.

(And because I'm me and I do things just off-key of reason), I'll be doing the posting meme from Jan 20th through 18th of Feb.

I keep saying that I'm going to update my journal, and then I realize how long it's been since the last time I updated and I freeze so I don't update.

So. I'm going to ignore that and ignore putting anything actually meaningful (when have I ever done that) in this to, you know, get the update flow going again.

I miss journaling - I definitely wrote more things when I was already in a habit of writing.

Dear circle/flist, you know that "Pick a date in December and tell me what to post about!" meme?

Yeah, that one. How about we do that for starting through.... tomorrow and ending on my birthday? (jan 6th).

So, the other week, I ended up having an impromptu picnic in the common, and it reminded me how much I really do like picnics. And made me want to have an actual for real picnic.

I was thinking sometime before the end of September, so it would still be nice out? On a Saturday, for work related purposes.



So, uh, a poll to get a general idea of it people want to come, etc? And once I have a general idea, I'll make a post specifically for, like, who is okay to bring what. :D ...And to get an idea of dietary restrictions.



eta: oh, hey, I just realized that I was assuming this was going to be on the Boston Common, but if anyone has other suggestions, leave a comment :D? ...or if I forgot anything else you think should be missing.

I keep saying (on twitter) that I'm going to update my journal or that it will be updating soon, and then being overwhelmed with anxiety because it's been so long since the last time I updated in a serious manner. Which is stupid, even if it's how I feel. Because I feel things stupidly.

and that thought managed to both get away from me and be nonsensical. Because me.

Right now, it's the type of day where it feels like the air itself is going to drown you. It's hot and sticky and all I've been doing is making faces at my fan, wishing I could transmogrify my fan into an AC unit.

I am surrounded by the detritus of my life, feeling as if I didn't accomplish anything that I had ever planned for for this point in time. Then, I remember that my epic plans always (ALWAYS) consisted of being an olympic gold medalist skier or best friends with Nancy Drew or (being, not friends with) a ghost (i'm a ghost in life, maybe that counts).

My job sucks, a million reiterations of the same theme song.

My hair is annoying me, but i refuse to cut it because I like my long hair. But it is driving me to distraction today. Possibly I am sublimating my issues with everything else onto my hair just so i have something to articulate. Or.... my hair is annoying me today.

I keep on having thoughts about Tony Stark being demisexual - I am maybe possibly writing that into my Tony/Bruce dating-without-knowing it fic thing I am writng.

But, like, it's not that Tony doesn't like sex or doesn't enjoy it. He likes sex, he's good at sex. He's just not really into it, like, on an emotional level. He doesn't... engage with it? IDEK, there's a word I'm trying to aim for, but I'm not getting it.

ANYWAY, What Tony likes about sex is getting other people off. He likes the feeling of power he gets when he makes other people fall apart. So, yes he's a huge playboy. And most of his onenight stands wouldn't mind another night because he gives amazing oral, especially compared to most of the people in their social strata (Justin Hammer, they are talking about you).

I should possibly drink some more water and eat something so I stop shaking. But it's hot and it's sticky.

PS, (I am totally making something to eat).
