I made an icon for an icontest community, and though it was pretty simple, I was really satisfied with how it turned out. And so I submitted a few hours before the deadline.

And it was fine. My work was done.

And then all icons entered for that challenge were put up for voting. I looked them up, was getting ready to vote until I noticed something off with the icon I sent in.

So I looked. And looked hard. Something was wrong but I couldn't put a finger to what it is exactly. And I stared. Stared. Stared.

Until I realized that there's a friggin' layer that shouldn't even be there that was on top of the actual image! I FRIGGIN' SAVED THE WRONG VERSION OF THE ICON!!! I forgot to remove the cropped-up layer that I was playing with before I saved the damn thing in .jpg format!

@#!%$#%$!!!

I typed in a comment on the post asking if the icon I sent in could be reposted. But then, after some serious thinking, I realized that by the time the mod reads the comment, the votes must have already been tallied. Plus, it wouldn't be fair to the others who entered really pretty icons (and made sure there's nothing wrong with them before sending them in). *le sigh*

So I thought about just asking if the icon I entered could be pulled out of the challenge. But then again, the votes might have already been tallied by the time my comment gets read. Gah! I couldn't keep still so I went ahead and asked if my icon could be pulled out of the challenge. I know that request might be great an inconvenience for our mod, but I hope she understands...

What ever was I thinking, not checking the icon first before sending it in! *kicks around* That was so not me! *cries*

I'm doing better next time!
