This deck is considered a Classic Deck, this page is used to tell the history of a deck rather than how it is played now. This can happen either from mechanics of the game changing, changes from the "TCG" or "OCG" Forbidden/Limited List, or the deck has slowly lost its ability to be played over time due to years of no support or neglect.
Teleport Dark Armed Dragon (often abbreviated to TeleDAD) Decks revolve around "Dark Armed Dragon", while using "Emergency Teleport" to get Tuners in order to get Synchro Monsters on field. It made use of various DARK and/or Warrior monsters, such as "Dark Grepher", to quickly get DARKs in the GY, and benefited from consistency pieces like "Allure of Darkness".

"Dark Armed Dragon" was already one of the best Decks in the format, already being a Tier 0 Deck before an emergency banlist in May 2008 to address it. The introduction of Synchros in The Duelist Genesis gave it more power, as "Emergency Teleport" gave the Deck a quick Special Summon of a Tuner, enabling powerful Synchro plays with "Malicious" or any Level 4. Before the March 2009 Lists, TeleDAD was the top Deck of the format, where it was not uncommon that almost all of the Top 8 of many tournaments were using one of these Decks.
After March 2009, while still playable, "Dark Armed Dragon" and "Emergency Teleport" were both Limited, and various consistency pieces ("Allure of Darkness", "Reinforcement of the Army", "Destiny HERO - Malicious", "Destiny Draw") were either Limited or Semi-Limited. It was succeeded by a slower version of itself which was not as dominant, though they still fared well in high-level tournaments. September 2010's Limiting of "Solemn Judgment" took away this Deck's primary defensive card.
The Deck was eventually powercrept, since it was not as consistent post-banlist, and better ways to get Extra Deck monsters were introduced. "Dark Armed Dragon" itself saw various appearances over the years in DARK Decks as a general power card, though even it eventually stopped seeing play (as it does nothing on the opponent's turn).
Play styleEdit
In short, TeleDAD focused on getting high power monsters on field, using "Allure of Darkness" and "Destiny Draw" as consistency engines.
- "Dark Grepher" and "Armageddon Knight" are DARK Warriors that can easily get DARKs to the GY, enabling "Dark Armed Dragon". They also had decent ATK and could be searched by "Reinforcement of the Army".
- "Destiny HERO - Malicious" + "Destiny Draw" made for a decent consistency engine. A "Malicious" in hand could be used for "Destiny Draw" or "Dark Grepher", and "Dark Grepher" could send it from Deck to GY. Once in the GY, it can either summon itself for Synchro plays or used as a DARK for "Dark Armed Dragon". It can also be searched by "Elemental HERO Stratos". Other "Destiny HERO" monsters could be run as more Destiny Draw targets.
- "Emergency Teleport" is primarily used to get a Tuner on field, with "Krebons" being the main target at the time of TeleDAD's dominance. "Krebons" and "Mailicious" could make a Level 8 Synchro, while "Krebons" + any Level 4 made a Level 6 like "Goyo Guardian".

Zombie TeleDADEdit
Dark Armed Zombie is a popular variant that has been used at a regional tournaments. It combines the field-swarming capabilities of Zombie-Type monsters with the killer effect of "Dark Armed Dragon".
With the release of the March 2009 Lists, this Deck has been weakened since many of the key cards became Limited.
Zombies used to swarm the field, include "Zombie Master", "Goblin Zombie", "Il Blud", "Mezuki" and "Pyramid Turtle". The majority of them are DARK and a number either send cards to the Graveyard or benefit from being sent to the Graveyard, assisting in Summoning "Dark Armed Dragon".
"Krebons" and "Plaguespreader Zombie" are used to perform Synchro Summons.
WeaknessesEdit
For the time of this deck's dominance, it was considered nearly unstoppable, as very few other decks could reach its power and stun. However during its time, if you went first against the deck, cards like "Royal Oppression", multiple "Solemn Judgment"s, "Macro Cosmos" and many other stun cards could prevent your opponent from winning in an instant.
The best deck for fighting Tele-DAD during 2008 - 2009 is actually itself. As cards like "Stardust Dragon", "Solemn Judgment", and "Royal Oppression" could easily be placed in your deck because of the Deck's extreme draw power and combos that only need a handful of cards to execute.
