Wow, end of the year already, and as usual, much goodness to be shared. I'm starting with the area that probably knocked my socks off the most when it came to SPN...

Petite_madame's stuff is just so consistently good that one could lazily say whatever she last made is one's favorite. However in a year that produced all sorts of gobsmacking stuff, I have been most knocked out by her recent packet (and it is an entire portfolio, frankly) of art for Weird Science . Choose your own favorite out of the nearly two dozen illustrations. Whether you love cute cats, sexy hijinks, creative story dividers, or just beautiful artwork, it's there. Just as I was putting this post together, I spotted the hawk again. There are some large bushes out in the parking lot (I can't remember what they're called) and the hawk was perching at the top of one. Or trying to. It really wasn't well suited for holding its weight and it kept flapping around trying to get its balance. Before I could get out there with the camera though, it swooped low and away. And then after a bit I heard it screech and looked out again to see it being chased by two ravens. I'm guessing it was attacking their nest? Whatever the reason they were not letting up and were still in hot pursuit went they went out of sight.
Some of our other hawk pictures came out really well though, and I made some simple graphics with them, along with some bunny icons. They're here below the pic of the little yellow bird I can never get close enough to snap properly.
