Last year after my last sibling died, I started a series of posts about the family with some of the photos her daughter and I had sorted in her collection. Surprisingly, it's been a year now since her death and the post about her never got made. I did cover my dad's family, and his early career in the 1920s and 30s.

Although he wasn't home a lot, that didn't stop dad from having a firm opinion on his children's futures. ( Collapse )

As I mentioned in my last post my family tree is an odd one. And my dad's story starts a little farther back than his arrival in the U.S.

On July 20, 1984 my sister Georgette took down information from dad about his family history. The notes are sometimes contradictory but this is what I've pieced together. ( Collapse )
