Anyone going to St Jerome's Laneway Festival tomorrow? Even if you're not, here's a video of YLT playing Today is the Day on the John McEnroe Show, if you've somehow not come across it while obsessively trawling Youtube for decent YLT stuff.

Sonar Show...

I had never seen YLT live, and they were actually my first concert.

Honestly, I think I'm going to avoid seeing shows in the future. They are not so good live.
I was really excited about going, and then after the SECOND 15 minute song without any lyrics with Ira and his uncombed dryer lint head seizing on his guitar standing too close to the amp. making it screatch, then whacking his guitar against the stand.. I left.

I feel bad, like maybe I'm not a true fan.
But I think I'll stick to the CD's, and pretend I never went.

I've heard Yo La Tengo for the first time in my life and immediately got in love with their music! It's so..so powerful and tender at the same time. So much energy, so much rythm. They were great! I felt totally reborn. I got acquanted with them - just couple of words, but got sure they're very nice people. ;) Got autographs from Ira and Georgia on the book-cover. :) Impressed a lot.

PS The band that was warming-up - "Elope" - was also good, i liked them as well.

Hi, I'm not very familiar with Yo La Tengo, but I really liked their songs in the film, Junebug. I've been wanting to buy those songs and I know that a soundtrack for the film doesn't exist, but I was wondering if perhaps any of the songs are on any of their other albums? I figured that you fine fans would be the ones to ask and I would greatly appreciate any info you might pass my way. :)
