I am completely and utterly dismayed today. I cannot believe Germany lost. LOST. AGAIN. to SPAIN. Grrrrrr, what IS it about them that makes my German boys choke???? I can't even say it was unfair. The Spaniards played an exceptional game against Germany, even if they hadn't scored, I'm pretty sure the only way Germany could have won is through luck during penalty kicks, which is essentially what penalty kicks are, but still.
Oh well...on a different front, one of my favorite authors decided to do a Mentalist/Persuasion (Jane Austen) story, which has me bouncing in my chair. Totally excited about that! I also managed to complete my little fic project and sent it off to my beta yesterday (spyglass_<3), which means that now I can start planning my Mentalist multiparter...sooooo exciting :).

Though in real life news, I've begun reading "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and I am enjoying so far. So many recommendations for it, it's hard to pass up. Also, I am mildly freaking out, because I am leaving to NY for a week in August and considering the weather there, I need to gear up for hot, hot, heat and have NO summer clothes (stupid San Francisco *grumbles*) so I have to shop for that, except I work full time and apparently family/friend obligations are all consuming my Sundays in July so I'm sweating bullets already...hardiharhar, how appropriate. Anyway...enough rambling. Must escape into fic world :P.
Seriously, watching your favorite team beat the crap out of such a prolific and talented team like Argentina makes your crappy week disappear!!! What a great way to start the weekend, even IF I have work today. It's seriously crazy how much I love watching soccer, I don't think I realized it until this tournament. Last World Cup, I was just getting into it, but this time, mannnn, I love it.
I really hope Germany goes through, it would be wonderful!!!
So I am riding high on the success of Germany's win over England (4-1) baby!! Also, one of my favorite fics by Cat got updated this morning and I've gotten myself into a little fanfiction writing project so I am totally set for the week as far as my responsibilities go...also there's work in between somewhere there and lunch with three of my best friends today!
I got very little sleep but who cares...it's a beautiful Sunday morning and I have to go brainstorm ideas :P. Hehe!! *dies*
