I'm Tired of War

We go to war, and kill and kill and kill. 260,000 killed in Hiroshima, 2,000 in 9/11, 3,300 troops in Iraq, and the numbers keep rolling in.

How can we justify such non value for the life of another? Wars are waged due to human ignorance. We succumb to our egotistic views of patriotism. We wage wars in the name of justice and peace. But what justice is brought about when you are taking over the lives and countries of others? How can we claim it is to uphold peace when we are creating acts of violent murders?

The truth is, we wage wars out of fear and the need for power. Fear is fueled by ignorance. We fear what we do not know and do not understand. If we started talking and trying to understand rather than picking up our guns and shooting, maybe we'd be better off.

Once we obtain power, and then what? Once you have it, you do everything to keep it. We then use this sentiment as an excuse to wage more wars, to create more destruction to the earth an each other.

They bomb us. We bomb them. They bomb our family. We bomb their families. We are caught in a vicious cycle of neverending murder and ignorance.

I just want to know one thing: when will this ever stop? Wars are created by men's pride, fear, jealousy, selfishness, greed, hatred, and delusion. Are these ever any real reasons to condone mass murder?
