Chapter One:

It was another boring night in the library as the gang researched another demon that wanted to open the Hellmouth and bring Hell on Earth nothing really new a normal Tuesday night. Xander was having a hard time of it and the way the gang seemed to forget about him. Everyone was angry with him because of that kiss with Willow making him take all the blame. They forgave Willow easily enough and she even got Oz back while Cordella wanted him dead. Angel and Giles were staying out of the mess, which Xander was grateful of not needing any more hatred directed at him. He closed his book and leaned back against his chair thinking about his past when he was just a kid and how happy he was then. When Xander was six years old his parents left him at the beach having forgotten all about him, which was nothing new. For three hours Xander had walked the sand crying because he was hungry and it was dark. Then that was when he met Jack his pirate ghost friend at least he thought he was a ghost.

Flashback:

“Now what’s with the crying boy?” Xander had looked up at the funny accent to find a man smiling at him with gold teeth. He was tall with long hair braided with beads, he was dressed like a pirate with a sword at his side. Xander thought he was cool it was kinda like Halloween only early. “Where are ye parents, boy?”

“They forgot about me.” Xander wiped his eyes with the back of his hand. “I’m scared and hungry.”

“There now nothing to be afraid of with ole Jack here.” The funny pirate held out his hand to the scared little boy. Jack remembered how it felt to be hungry when he was younger. “Come on then let’s gets some food in yer belly.”

“I’m Xander.” Xander smiled at the pirate glad that he made a new friend. He didn’t have many friends only his Willow and Jesse. “What’s your name.”

The pirate took off his old hat and bowed at the waist smiling causing young Xander to laugh. “I’m Captain Jack Sparrow of the Black Pearl. Heard of me have ye, Xander?”

Xander thought about it for a minute then shook his head. “Nope, are you a real pirate?” It would be so cool to tell Willow and Jesse that he met a real pirate. They would be so jealous.

“That I am, Xander.” Jack sighed, young ones these days never really cared about history much and he a great pirate in his day. Now he was cursed wondering around in this time with nothing much to do. There had to be a way for him and the Black Pearl to return home. “Would ya like to see me Pearl?”

“Wow a real pirate’s ship?” Xander’s brown eyes lit up with happiness. “Yeah I would please.”

Jack chuckled at the excitement in the boy at seeing the Black Pearl. He remembered when he was that age and how excited he was at seeing his first pirate’s ship. It was then that Jack knew he would become a famous pirate. “Aye, a real pirate’s ship. The Black Pearl is one of a kind.” How many cursed ships were there these days?

“Yeah, I want to see it.” Xander was almost jumping up and down in excitement when his tummy started to rumble. He didn’t eat much breakfast because his mom was busy and he only found a little cereal with no milk. “I’m hungry.”

“Aye so I hear, come on then we can see the Pearl and have us a grand ole meal in the Captain’s quarters.” Jack led Xander to a cave the entrance to the place where he hidden the Black Pearl so long ago. The crew was still with the Black Pearl.

“Yay!” Xander followed the Pirate Captain happily. They walked for awhile until they came to a large opening filled with water.

“There is me Pearl.” Jack took Xander down towards the water where they both could see an opening leading into the beach. And there was the Black Pearl floating in the middle with its black sails.

“It’s a ghost ship.” Xander took in the black ship with matching sails and the old crossbones flag flirting in the wind.

“Aye, at one time she was boy.” Jack began to tell Xander the story about the Barbossa and the curse.

End of Flashback:

Xander had never forgotten those memories of Jack and the Black Pearl or its crew. Every chance he got Xander would make his way to that cave to see Jack and his ship, but when he turned fourteen years old everything changed. The Black Pearl was gone and so was Jack. For three years he hadn’t seen or heard from his friend and Xander wondered if he would ever seen the pirate again. Now he knew Jack wasn’t from this time because Gibb told him the story about how they came to be here and Xander’s friends didn’t believe Jack was real. The only thing Xander had was the small black pearl Jack gave to him when he was seven after his father beat him. The pearl would allow Xander to call Jack and the pirate would come for him, but it stopped working when Xander tried to call him after he found the pirate gone. Xander would still go to the cave when he needed to think and hope he would see his friend again.

“Xander are you alright?” Willow asked seeing the blank look on Xander’s face. It was night and they were at the library researching the newest big bad so Buffy could slay it.

“I’m fine, Wills.” Xander forced a smile on his face. “I was thinking about Jack.” He told Willow and Jesse about his pirate friend. Jesse believed in Jack, but Willow thought he was an imaginary friend.

“Oh, yeah your imaginary friend.” Willow remembering the stories Xander told her and Jesse about Jack Sparrow and his Pirate ship the Black Pearl. “Why bring him up now?”

“You had an imaginary friend, Xander?” Buffy giggled thinking that’s the funniest thing she heard. Angel only shook his head and went back to reading not caring about Xander’s imaginary friend. Though the name Jack Sparrow sounded very familiar to him.

“Jack Sparrow the Captain of the Black Pearl.” Giles was near by and he overheard everything. “I wouldn’t say he was an imaginary friend girls. Jack Sparrow was a famous pirate that sailed in the Caribbean. I’ve read that his ship the Black Pearl was once cursed before he was able to get her back. However I wonder how Xander has met him since the Pirate has been dead for a very long time.”

“It’s nothing important, G-man.” Xander smiled sadly at the Watcher. “I’m never going to see him again.”

“I would like to know how you knew him in the first place.” Giles knew there was more to the story since there wasn’t much written about Jack Sparrow or his ship. People believed it was nothing, but a story an old fisherman came up with.

“Come on Giles, don’t tell me you believe Xander?’ Buffy sounded surprised at her Watcher. “I bet Xander made up the whole story for attention.”

“I wouldn’t bet on it, Buffy.” Angel now remembered where he heard the name of Sparrow and the Black Pearl. “Sparrow got into trouble the same way Xander does it doesn’t surprise me that Jack found a way to stay alive.” Angel turned to Xander a worried look on his face. “Was he a vampire?”

Xander shook his head. “Gibb told me it was a scroll Jack found that sent the Pearl and the crew here. I guess they found a way back home.”

“So Jack was real?” Willow felt guilty at the way she used to make fun of Xander. She still felt guilty by the way everyone was treating Xander because of the kiss. Still she didn’t want to lose Oz or have the others hate her so she said nothing knowing Xander would understand and forgive her.

“Who cares.” Buffy thought of Xander as the bad guy taking advantage of Willow when she was weak and causing Cordella to get hurt. It would be better if he just stayed away. Xander was such a loser anyhow.

Xander sighed, having had enough of Miss. Prefect and her mouth. If he wanted to be insulted he could have stayed home. His parents never let him forget what a waste of air he was. “Giles I’m going to head home I’m tired.”

Giles was worried about the boy he saw as a son. “I can drive you if you want?”

“Nah, I’m fine G-man.” Xander wanted to be alone, though he was warmed by the thought of someone caring about him. He gave a small smile and walked out the door, not that anyone besides Giles and Angel noticed.

Angel looked over at Giles and nodded before slipping out the door to follow Xander and make sure he got home safe. True they didn’t like each other, but Angel wasn’t about to let him get eaten either.

Chapter Four

Raditz caught Xander’s leg sending the boy into a wall. It has been three months now since the boy became his student and moved in with him. Raditz was proud of how well the human boy was turning out. Xander was now stronger and faster then the Slayer and any other demon or vampire he could come across in Sunnydale, he was smart and quick on his feet. Raditz couldn’t ask for a better student. Xander really did want to learn and he respected and listened to his teacher. “You can do better then that boy.”

“I know I can old man.” Xander gave his teacher one of his famous silly grins before attacking him head on.

Raditz sighed, before back handed Xander across the face sending him back into the wall. He should have known not to attack like that since it never worked the first twenty times he tried it. There were times Xander reminded him of his brother Kakarot. Both could be such idiots at times. “It’s not all about strength kid.”

“No, it’s about power and speed as well.” Xander rushed Raditz once again only making him believe he was going to strike his stomach. Instead Xander phased behind him attacking Raditz from behind.

Raditz grunted as he was sent face first into the floor. He kept his power down to that of Xander’s power level to make it a fair fight. Xander would be a great warrior and if Raditz had his way the boy would be as a strong as the Namek when they first met or stronger. “That’s better.”

Xander laughed helping Raditz up from the ground, which wasn’t easy considering how big the man, was. “Thank you Mr. Saiyaman.”

“Don’t call me that.” For some reason that name really bothered him. It sounded so stupid, part of him wished he never told Xander the truth about himself. Too late for that now though. Raditz trusted the boy enough to tell him about his past and how he came to be in this dimension.

“So are we quitting for now?” Xander had to attend a Scooby meeting tonight because Giles ordered him too. He said Buffy and Willow were getting worried about him, but Xander really doubted it. The girls were more worried about their boyfriends and social lives then they were about him. Giles seemed to be the only one that worried about him lately. “I have to get ready for that meeting tonight.”

“Plan to tell them about your training?” Raditz looked at the young man in front of him and how much he changed. Xander no longer wore those ugly Hawaiian shirts like he used too. He now wore decent shirts and jeans. Raditz thought the boy was very attractive and was sure the Slayer and Witch would notice.

Xander grabbed a towel and wiped off his face before raising his eyes to those of his teacher. “Yeah, I think I better. Giles is already getting worried about me and I’m afraid he’ll send Buffy to spy on me or something.”

“That girl couldn’t spy on anyone with how noisy she is.” Raditz seen the Slayer patrol and was thankful she had friends or she would have been dead long before now. She had no skill what’s so ever. What were the Powers that Be thinking when they chosen her as Slayer.

Xander laughed knowing how right Raditz was having been with him to spy on Buffy that one time. “Want to come with?”

“Sounds like fun.” Maybe he could see how long it would take him to piss off that vampire called Angel. Raditz heard quite a bit about the souled vampire and wanted to see this ‘Deadboy’ for himself. Xander wasn’t too fond of the vamp and wondered if it had anything to do with when he had a crush on the Slayer. “I go with you to give your friends the chance to meet your teacher.” And he wanted to see their faces when they noticed how much Xander has changed.

“I thought Buffy, Giles, and Willow already met you?” He remembered Raditz telling him about that the night they met. Giles took Buffy to the dojo to have Raditz train her.

“I did.” Raditz pulled out two waters from the cooler throwing one to Xander.

“You’re weird Rad.” Xander opened the bottle and took a long drink. Raditz always did work him down to the bone he was lucky to still be able to walk. Not that he minded because all of that hard training his making him the fighter he always wanted to be.

“So I’ve heard.” Raditz tossed the empty bottle into the trash. “We should get cleaned up if you want to make it to the meeting on time.”

Xander sighed, heading to the bathroom dreading the time he would have to meet up with the others. Maybe they would meet a demon on the way so they would be late.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Everyone was already at the library plus two strangers Xander hadn’t seen before. One was a girl around Xander's age and a man that had the look of ‘Giles’ about him. “Hey guys.”

“Xander good you’re here.” Giles froze when he saw Raditz Bardock with his arms across his chest standing behind Xander. “Mr. Bardock, why are you here?”

Raditz’s smile was dangerous when everyone in the room turned to look at him. “I came with my student. I wanted to meet Xander’s friends.”

“You’re teaching, Xander?” Buffy laughed, she couldn’t picture Xander learning how to fight. “Why? Xander can’t fight I would always have to save his butt.”

“Because unlike a certain Slayer, he shows respect.” Raditz eyes were narrowed in warning. He didn’t like this Slayer at all. “So what’s with the research?” He noticed all the books opened around the tables. They were researching something and he wanted to know what.

“There is a new powerful demon in town.” Angel glared at the new comer. He didn’t think the guy should be trusted there was something strange about him that sent Angel on edge. Angelus was even uneasy, but Angel had to admit the man was a good influence on Xander with how the boy held himself with confidence and the way he was dressed. Xander was no longer the class clown that was for sure.

Raditz picked up the book that Angel was reading. “Shouldn’t take long to get rid of it.” He said after reading a little on the demon.

“Please, that demon would tear you apart.” Buffy said with a smug smile. “Me, I won’t have any problems taking care of it after all I am the Slayer.”

“A Slayer, don’t forget about me B.” Raditz and Xander turned to look at the dark haired girl and saw that she was completely different from Buffy. She was dressed in clothes that the older Slayer wouldn’t be caught in and she had a sexy grin on her face. “Hi, I’m Faith and this is my Watcher Wesley.”

“Hello.” The younger Watcher disgusted Raditz. He seemed so weak so different from Giles. Oh, he was smart, but he didn’t have the confidence the older Watcher did. Maybe he should fix that as well as give the man a backbone. “And you are?”

“I’m Xander and this is my teacher Raditz.” Xander could see this guy was even more of a book nut then Giles. And that was saying something.

“Why would you want to learn martial arts?” Willow was frowning with Oz standing behind her. “You don’t need to learn how to fight. You could get hurt.”

“And he could also get killed walking at Sunnydale at night without training.” Raditz cut in coldly. “Then he would die or worst be turned.”

“I believe Xander learning under Mr. Bardock is just want he needs.” Giles smiled at Xander and his teacher.

“When do you plan going after this demon, G-man?” Xander was glad that Giles was on his side. Of course they didn’t know martial arts weren’t the only thing he was learning from Raditz. He was also learning how to use kai.

“We’re going after it tonight, but you are staying here.” Buffy ordered. “I don’t want you in the way.”

“Come on B if the guy can take care of himself then let him come.” Faith winked at Xander; both him and his teacher were hot. It was too bad that they had a thing for each other. “Coming too, Sexy?” She asked, Raditz.

Raditz was going to like this Slayer, she was a spitfire. “Yes, I think I am.”

“Alright then let’s get this party on the road.” Faith was in the mood for some slaying then after that a little fun.

Giles followed everyone out of the library already knowing Buffy was going to be trouble tonight. Sometimes he wondered if being Buffy’s Watcher was a punishment for the things he had done as Ripper in the past? The girl really needed to learn her place and that while she was a Slayer she wasn’t invincible.

Ch.3 The Saiyan

Chapter Three

Xander knew patrolling the cemetery at night without Buffy was not very smart, but someone had to do it and Buffy was at the Bronze with Willow. She preferred to party then to do her job and it bothered Xander a lot. He didn’t know what to think about his friends they changed and he didn’t know what to do. Buffy thought she was the best thing since sliced bread. Willow spent most of her time around Buffy and Oz, not that Xander had anything against Oz. He thought the werewolf was good for his best friend, but Xander was hurt by the way Willow ignored him. It was like she forgot how close they used too be in the past and it hurt a lot.

“Look boys it’s dinner.” Xander whipped around and saw four vampires sneering at him, he cursed himself for letting his guard down. “You’re the Slayer’s friend that’s even better.” The leader of the group said with a smirk on his dirty face.

“Come on guys you don’t want to eat me that would make Buffy angry.” Xander said with a grin knowing Buffy would hunt them down should something happen to him. It wasn’t like she would care that he was killed, it would be because they would dare kill something she considered hers even if she didn’t care for him much.

The lead vamp just smirked this guy wasn’t a minion, but he wasn’t close to a Master either. “So what I’ll just eat her too.”

“You really are stupid aren’t you?” Xander took out the stake he carried and a small water gun filled with holy water. It wouldn’t get him far, but he would do some damage before they finished him off. He sprayed the three minions in the face causing them to scream and ran for it knowing he couldn’t take on all four without help.

The vampires ran after him the lead vamp snarling threats at him and Xander hoped the guy didn’t catch him, but luck wasn’t with him. Two of minions jumped Xander when he turned and staked one then the other leaving him two minions one that happened to be a Childe.

“Now you die very painfully.” The vampire’s face shifted to its true form. Xander was grabbed by behind by the remaining minion then something happened.

Both vampires turned into dust at the same time and a giant man with long spiky black hair stood in front of Xander staring down at him with a smirk on his face. He could swore he saw a long brown tail behind the guy and then it was gone. Maybe it was the moon light playing tricks on him. Xander looked up wondering how this guy appeared in front of him that fast when he didn’t even see that guy move. “Um, hi and thinks for the help.”

“Not very smart walking here at this time of night kid.” Raditz glared down at the human boy the friend of the Slayer. “You would’ve been killed or worst a minion if I hadn’t been walking by.”

Xander flinched at that thought. The last thing he wanted was to become a minion and become the very thing he hated. “Yeah, I know I was stupid.”

“You need training kid to take care of yourself better.” Raditz smirked, he knew there was more to this boy then what he lead on. His heart reminded the Saiyan of his younger brother Kakarot. Xander would do anything to protect his home and those he loved even if it meant dying just like the younger Saiyan. This human boy was worthy. “Being the friend of a Slayer and a Watcher you should have been taught how to take care of yourself.”

Xander shrugged not caring how this guy knew about Buffy and Giles, he didn’t seem to be dangerous to him and that’s all he cared about right now. “Giles has enough problems with Buffy and helping Willow with her magic.”

The fools they had no idea about the strength that this boy had, but Raditz knew and he would train him to be stronger then the Slayer. “I can train you, teach you to protect yourself and your friends.”

“Train me?” Why would this guy want to train him, he was just the Zeppo not like Buffy, Giles, Angel, Oz, or Willow. They were special and he was nothing. “I’m only the Zeppo.”

Raditz snorted, the boy’s so called friends really had made this kid think less about himself. He had to do something about that. “The name is Raditz Bardock and here is my card.” Raditz handed him a card with the address of the dojo and his phone number. “Think about it.”

Xander watched him walk away and he went the other way putting the card in his back pocket. Maybe he would take the giant up on his offer after all he was tired of the way his friends treated him like he was a weak nobody. Xander turned around and ran after Raditz deciding to the give him, his answer right now. “Hey wait up.”

Raditz stopped, but didn’t turn around letting the human catch up to him. “Already made up your mind?”

“Yeah, I want to train to become stronger.” Xander wanted to prove to the others that he wasn’t just a Zeppo. He was tired of being looked down upon and treated like he was useless. Xander had enough of that at home and one would believe their friends would treat them better then that.

“It won’t be easy.” Raditz warned the human boy about the training in head of him. “And if you do this I won’t let you quit.” Raditz wouldn’t let him back out.

“I understand.” Xander did understand and still wanted to do the training. For some reason he felt that he could trust the giant. Xander could finally make something of himself and prove to everyone else just what the Xan man can do. “I want to do this.”

Raditz nodded knowing Xander made the right choice. By the time he was done the Slayer wouldn’t have a fighting chance against Xander. “Let’s go we have a lot to do.”

“We’re starting now?” Xander didn’t think he would be taught this soon seeing how late it was.

“Yes, there is no need to wait.” Raditz made his way out of the cemetery with Xander following closely behind.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Raditz watched as the boy slept not knowing that he was being watched from his window. He followed Xander home after their training ended at three o’clock in the morning. Raditz was disgusted by the smell of whiskey that came from the boy’s parents. He watched as Xander sneaked up to his room and locked the door behind him. The boy didn’t feel safe in his own home and it pissed Raditz off. The Saiyan was going to have to do something about that and soon. There was no way he was going to let his student stay in a home like where he was treated like he was nothing. Raditz forced open the window and threw a small kai ball at the boy to shock him awake. He was to big and couldn’t fit into the window and this was the only way he could think of without waking the other humans.

Xander jumped out of the bed shaking from the shock that went through his body. He saw Raditz standing outside his window and glared at the giant of the man. “What was that for?”

“I was trying to wake you up.” Raditz could see how tired the boy looked. “We’re leaving.”

Xander looked over at the clock on his beside table and groaned. “Raditz it’s three in the morning and I need sleep can’t we finish our training tomorrow?”

“You’re not staying here.” Raditz was firm in his decision of getting Xander out of this house.

“And where am I going to live?” Xander asked, as much as he hated living in this house with parents that hated his guts it was his home and he had nowhere else to go.

“Pack up and you’ll see.” Raditz told Xander his hand lying on the window.

Xander sighed and did what he was told. Maybe it wouldn’t be such a bad idea leaving this place. Anything would be better then living here

Ch.2 The Saiyan

Chapter Two

Raditz was pleased with the training area he built or dojo as the humans called it, he needed something to do besides watching the Slayer and hunting demons. He opened the dojo to make money because the Powers did not pay him and he had to have money in order to have a roof over his head and food in his belly and he ate a lot and besides he was very proud of his dojo. He began his training working out his muscles when he sense three humans walk into the area.

“Buffy you need more training and I’ve heard this guy is the best in martial arts. He’s very well known.” An older man the Watcher Raditz figured whispered to a small blond at his side who had to be the Slayer. The redheaded witch stood behind them nervously looking down at her hands.

“What if I hurt the guy on accident? What then, Giles?” Raditz had to keep himself from snorting disbelief when he heard the Slayer. Like she could ever hurt him.

“He looks scary, Giles.” Raditz smirked, he knew the redhead was staring at him in awe. He knew he looked good.

“You’ve checked everything out about him Willow as have I and Raditz Bardock is an normal human who happens to be an excellent martial artist. He’s just what we need to farther Buffy’s training.” The Watcher had no idea that he was not some normal human or demon for that matter, but a Saiyan from a different dimension. Raditz would like to see their faces if they ever found out the truth about him.

Raditz stood up from where he was doing push-ups and placed a fake smile on his face and went over to his visitors holding out his hand to the male human. “Hello, I’m Raditz Bardock. What can I do for you?”

“Wow.” Buffy said quietly, looking up to see the face of this guy he was huge. He had to be at least over seven feet tall. There was no way this guy was a normal human. He gave her the creeps.

“Yeah.” Willow stepped back from the giant there was something about him that made her very nervous. She also had a feeling Buffy would have a hard time taking this guy down.

“I’m Rupert Giles and I’m here to see about having Buffy take a few of your classes.” Giles shook the man’s hand feeling so small next to him wondering if he was indeed a human and not a demon. He could swear this man had a pair of fangs in that mouth.

“And you?” Raditz asked the witch knowing she wasn’t here for training she just came with her friends.

Willow shook her head. “No, I just came with Buffy and Giles.”

Raditz looked down at the Slayer whom seemed so small and wondered how in the world she was the Vampire Slayer. Her size had nothing to do with it, but her eyes were full of ignorance. “Do you know any of the martial arts?”

“Yeah, but Giles thinks I need more training.” Buffy believed she learned everything she needed to know already under Giles.

“And you don’t?” The Slayer wasn’t as tough as she liked to believe there were demons out there five times as strong as she was and without proper training she wouldn’t stand a chance should she ever were to meet one. They would crush her without a second thought.

“No, I don’t.” Buffy stared Raditz in the eyes at least she tried too not being very tall and he being as big as he was. “I’m here because Giles made me come.”

Giles groaned he couldn’t believe that his Slayer could be so stupid. There were times when Buffy just didn’t know when to shut up. “You still have so much to learn, Buffy.”

“You should listen to him.” Raditz eyed the Slayer; she still had much to learn about respect. “The man knows what he’s talking about.”

Buffy glared causing Raditz to smirk down at her. “Fine, I’ll take your class.” She said like it would be an honor to have her in his classes.

Raditz raised an eyebrow he was amused. “You have a lot to learn about respect little one and until you do then I’ll consider training you.”

“What?” Buffy was angry she was a great fighter and he should be thankful that she would even consider being taught by him not the other way around.

Giles hid a smile; it was about time someone put his Slayer in her place. “I apologize for wasting your time, Mr. Bardock.”

Raditz shrugged his shoulders watching the Slayer storm from his dojo. “Your Slayer needs to learn respect Watcher or one day she’s going to get herself killed.” He knew what he was talking about having learned his lesson the hard way.

“How?” Giles was stunned as to how this martial arts expert knew who they were.

“Are you a Watcher or a demon?” Willow asked with narrowed eyes, she was going with being a demon. There was no way the Watcher’s Council would let him in.

“Neither, I’m as human as you are.” Raditz lied through his teeth. “I’ve been around long enough to know about what happens when the sun goes down having met a few vampires very stupid ones at that.”

“How do you know about the Watchers and Slayers?” Giles asked carefully, he didn’t think Raditz was a threat

“Met a Slayer a few years back. I helped her out when she was being attacked by a pack of demons.” That part was true Raditz did meet the Slayer before Buffy was called. “I’ve trained her a few years before she was killed.”

Giles understood everything. “You were the martial artist that taught Devin Johnson’s Slayer.”

Raditz nodded, he liked the Slayer she had honor and was respectful so unlike this one. “Yes, and now you see why I won’t train Buffy the way she is now.”

“Yes, I understand.” Giles sighed and left the dojo with Willow and Buffy following behind after she sent Raditz was last glare over her shoulder. Raditz went back to his training he still had a couple of hours before the sun went down and he could hunt. It was about time the nightlife in Sunnydale met him and besides it didn’t hurt to do some house cleaning and the Powers knew this place needed it bad.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Dragonballz or Buffy the Vampire Slayer. They belong to their respected owners.

Notes: This is an idea that has been running around in my head so I just had to write it. The main pairing will be Raditz/Xander so don’t read if don’t like this sort of thing.

Chapter One:

Whistler had always liked to think of himself as a brave demon. He could face the Slayer during her time of the month and still live to tell the tale, and face Angel during a bad day and boy were those two scary especially Angel when he ran out of hair gel. Because Whistler always knew even though they threaten him they would never really kill him. Then he met Raditz an alien from another dimension that was given a second chance and was sent to serve the Powers that Be. Raditz was no longer evil, but he wasn’t exactly a good guy either. Whistler has seen what the Saiyan could do when angered and he did not want to get on his bad side. Now the Powers had sent Whistler with a new mission for Raditz one he was sure the Saiyan wouldn’t want. Whistler took a deep breath and was about to knock on the door when it opened.

“I wondered how long you were going to stay outside my door and do nothing demon.” Raditz said with a smirk on his face. “So what brings you here?”

“You have a new mission from the Powers.” Whistler said simply, he really didn’t want to be here. He would rather face Buffy in a screaming match and lose his hearing.

Raditz leaned against his doorway staring down at the balance demon. “Then tell me about this new mission?”

“The Powers want you to move to Sunnydale and help protect the Hellmouth.” Whistler watched Raditz’s face wanting to see his reaction. It was a well-known fact that the Saiyan believed Buffy Summers to be a weak minded human. She was rash and didn’t think before she acts. That was very dangerous in a Slayer, they die early with thinking like that. “Something bad is about to happen and the Slayer won’t be able to handle it on her own even with the help of her friends.”

Raditz wasn’t surprised he always believed the Slayer was useless the Watcher wasn’t as stern with her as he should be and the witch was to rash with her power. If she wasn’t careful the girl was going to get herself in deep trouble. The boy if trained right would be the only one in that group that could actually be of any use. “I’m to be the Slayer’s babysitter?” Raditz wasn’t about to play nursemaid to some wet behind the ears Slayer.

“No!” Whistler saw Raditz’s black eyes flash and knew he wasn’t happy at all with this new mission. “They need you there in case something happens that the Slayer couldn’t handle.”

It wasn’t like Raditz had anything better to do all of the demons he fought he was able to defeat in under a minute and it was getting boring so maybe there could be a challenge for him on the Hellmouth. Raditz has gotten stronger since he has been here maybe even stronger then his brother Kakarot. Raditz was able to transform into Super Saiyan 4 with no trouble, but he only has been in that form once since there was no demon even half as strong as he was when he first fought Kakarot and that Namek. “Fine I’ll go.”

“Good.” Whistler sighed in relief that he wasn’t blown into bits. “You have two weeks to ready yourself.”

Raditz snorted. “I’ll be ready faster then that Whistler.” He smirked wondering how long it would take the Slayer to realize she would no longer be the strongest. He couldn’t wait and maybe he would take up the challenge of training that human boy. “Tell the Powers that I will do this my way.”

“Since when haven’t you done it your way?” Whistler walked away not liking the look on the Saiyan’s face, he knew things were about to get a whole lot more interesting.
