An Incredible Journey of 2 Years and 9 Months🚀
Today marks my last day as a Software Engineer at @Microsoft Nigeria🇳🇬
Joining Microsoft straight out of university as a CS graduate, I was filled with so much confusion and anxiety❤️
Yet, just one year later, I earned my first promotion, and I gradually grew into becoming an incredible Software Engineer🥹🌟
Every day brought unique challenges, but I faced each one with unwavering grit.
I am grateful to my managers and the talented engineers I worked with, who mentored and shaped me, and to the amazing networks I formed both within and outside Africa🙏🏼
During my stay, I had the privilege of working with the Windows Engineering Team, making significant contributions to Microsoft's sustainability goals🌱
A few highlights✨
✅I became a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on my team for integrating and processing telemetry, terabytes of data.
✅I built robust data systems to compute and track device energy savings, helping the company reduce carbon tax💸
✅I developed data platforms specifically for the Energy Recommendations feature on the Settings page, ensuring sustainability-related data is accessible to multiple teams.
✅A by-product of my work was featured in Microsoft's 2024 Sustainability Report, this was one of my team’s major achievements🚀

✅I also made significant contributions to various non-engineering initiatives within the company like hosting hackathons, speaking at events and mentorship.
This journey has been nothing short of incredible, and I'm immensely thankful to God for this significant stepping stone😍
