We attempt to demystify NFTs and explain why they’re valuable -- and what they mean for the future of business.
I mean from the perspective of a Bayesian, can we really give any ex ante credence to the possibility that someone named Bayes had important mathematical observations?
The average person never makes a novel contribution to probability theory, so how could we expect any given
Fun fact: in what is kind of the most excellent coincidence I have ever seen, today's economics laureate @PikaGoldin has a new @nberpubs working paper out this morning called "Why Women Won."
(This really presumably is a coincidence because not only is it not possible to
As far as I can tell from this site, while it does provide access to free tests (assuming you haven't already ordered the maximum of 8), it doesn't actually provide any of those other things; rather, it gives hard-to-navigate information on where you might potentially find them.
- Free vaccines
- Free at-home tests
- Free high-quality masks
- Free lifesaving treatments

Lol so I'm teaching a brand new case study about @BoredApeYC in my MBA course next week; it's so hot off the presses that it's not even cleared for circulation outside of @HarvardHBS yet...

I'm thrilled and incredibly honored to have been awarded tenure at @HarvardHBS.
This moment has proven a good reminder of how essential all of my friends are in energizing and inspiring me. Thank you all so, so much for being so awesome.
QED.
Don't get me wrong -- I'm VERY glad we've improved access to Paxlovid!
But posting increased treatment counts isn't the win that @WhiteHouse apparently thinks it is.
What we want to do is reduce transmission, so the number of people needing to get treatment would go *down*.
Thanks to the Biden-Harris Administration’s COVID-19 response, more tools are available than ever to protect against and treat COVID. In July, over one million Americans benefited from Paxlovid – a pill that reduces the likelihood of hospitalization or death by about 90%.
Wow.
(It's not clear that the boost to downstream outcomes like flyouts could hold in long-run equilibrium, or that added visibility really is the mechanism driving it. But still, pretty striking, QED!)
