California allowed millions in financial aid from 1.2 million “ghost” students, a third of all applicants.
It was an honor to welcome National Spelling Bee champion Shrey Parikh of California to the Capitol. In the lightning round tiebreaker, Shrey spelled an astounding 32 words correctly in 90 seconds. The winning word was "bromocriptine."
