1. Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin says she is interested in making a trip to Afghanistan to help the Taliban promote female empowerment. She says the Taliban could learn from Malaysia when it comes to empowering the role of women in politics, education, the economy and society.

1. A Taliban spokesman told SkyNews that they do not plan to make the full-veil burqa mandatory in Afghanistan, but just the hijab. Earlier, the Taliban also promised to honour women's rights and press freedom, within the framework of their culture and Islamic law.
