Yup... here, and complete... Neglected this site for a while.
Not so Late Night Single Feature (with an intermission) Show
The Broadway Madison production of the Rocky Horror Show at the Orpheum Theater is certainly a fun ride. I caught the 8:00 show last night, and was blown away by sight and sound. There were a couple low points, which I will get to later, but overall it was an awesome performance.
Broadway Madison is a new branch of Broadway Kidz Wisconsin, which is an educational organization, training Wisconsin kids - 12 to 21 - from all walks of life with an interest in musical theater. Broadway Madison deals with more of the young adult range - 18 to 30.

Deadpan Dolores strips again....
In 1982 Richard O'Brien and Richard Hartley produced a musical adaptation of a 1961 detective novel by Carter Brown. This musical played briefly in Sydney Australia, then all but disappeared off the face of the planet.
Now it looks as though this musical is once more in production. Open auditions were announced last May and the show apparently opens at The Kings in Glasgow on the 29th of this month. Perhaps this will lead to an American production soon. One can only hope.

In the celebration department, New Hampshire became the sixth state with true marriage equality

Putting the livestock back out to pasture
Happy Beltain. The full moon in the month of Giamonios (approximately April 21 to May 20) marks the end of the dark half of the year, and beginning of the light half. It also marks the day that the grasses are grown long enough for livestock to graze. The male and female divinities are wed on this day, and balefires are lit.
The last of the original creators of D&D has passed
David Arneson, co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons, who ran the first ever D&D campaign in Minneapolis MN (the Blackmoor campaign which pre-dated the famous Greyhawk campaign of Lake Geneva WI by several months) has passed away last night of cancer.
