Sign up for the biggest yard sale of the year

Sarah Pridgeon

Drag out all those old items that you have no more use for but could be treasures for someone else – it’s time for the biggest yard sale of the year. It’s a way to attract visitors to the area while combining the yard and garage sales that tend to punctuate the summer. This year, Junkin’ Weekend will again be hosted by the...

Sara Fleenor, ANR Extension Educator

Calves are especially susceptible to a variety of diseases, making springtime vaccinations an important step producers can take to protect herd health and keep cattle performing well. Proper vaccine administration is especially important to ensure that the immune response is robust. Improper handling reduces effectiveness, resulting in wasted resources. The first step in...

Weston County commissioners fail to appoint interim clerk

Alexis Barker, News Letter Journal Via Wyoming News Exchange

NEWCASTLE — The Weston County commissioners did not appoint an interim county clerk Tuesday after a split vote and procedural uncertainty left the board without a majority choice, potentially pushing the decision to a judge. Driving the decision, according to several commissioners, is the fact that the Republican Party did not forward interim County Clerk Amber Green’s name to the board. The board interviewed three candidates forwarded by the county Republican Party — Michael Tooman, Patricia Baumann and Stanley Jazinski — but none...

Mike Koshmrl, WyoFile.com

Yellowstone National Park’s first reported bear attack of 2026 occurred in an area that was until recently off-limits to spring hiking to reduce the risk of human-grizzly bear conflicts. Two brothers were injured while hiking, and one is in critical condition and the other’s injuries are “serious,” according to the Jackson Hole News&Guide. But...
