The lodge really is a the lodge. I'd recommend this stay to anyone. The owners are lovely people and the location is perfect for relaxing and interacting with nature. There is a plethora of endemic flora and fauna in the area and Pascal is very knowledgeable and happy to share. I don't have a bad word to say about the experience and I'd happily return.

One the coolest experiences I've had, volunteering on this remote island with the most pristine beaches and vibrant jungle! Pascal and Pierrette are awsome hosts that truly create a special vibe for anyone coming by. One of the highlights for me was that every encounter at the lodge felt personal and real. Even though I was completely disconnected from internet, the connections I made here were far more rewarding 🩵 A project that started from dcratch but that has been given so much love and care from the hosts. Authentic, down to earth and connected to nature!

Pascal and Pieret are super fun and happy people plus flexible and understanding. The island is super beautiful, from their place you can see an amazing sunset. Be aware of the sun fly and other nature animals it might appear. It was a fun volunteering and you also got to enjoy the place and the weather. I enjoyed to be disconnected and really connect with people and the nature. There is no shop in the island so take with you everything you might need or want, specially food to cook for your free days and medical supplies. Thanks for this adventure!

Pascal & Pierette accepted were flexible accepting our date changes in order to arrive later on the island. The tasks included clean & prepare the tents for guests, cleaning common areas or giving a hand in the restaurant serving (or even cook if you are lucky). Cleaning the beach was challenging, due to the sun flies: you will need coconut oil. Mosquito repellent doesn’t work, believe me.
The food is not included on the days off, which we didn’t know beforehand.
The time off was fun playing games with P&P (board, pétanque, darts), enjoying calm and silence, swimming in the sea or reading.

Pascal was able to create a welcoming and caring environment in which I quickly felt at ease.
He was available and attentive, which made my integration easier and allowed me to fully enjoy the experience :))
