Alice was born in Hudson, Massachusetts, in 1869, the daughter of Timothy and Harriet (Coolidge) Leary.[1]
She grew up in Hudson, with four brothers (Melvin, Henry, Albert and younger brother Ralph). Her father, a shoemaker, died when she was young, and her mother raised the children.[2] In 1900, she resided in Hudson with brothers Henry and Ralph, and Ralph's wife Lillie. Alice was working as a housekeeper.[3]
She married Herman S. Gould, as his third wife, before 1930, when they were living in Everett, Massachusetts, at the time of the census.[4] They moved to Boston, Massachusetts, before 1940, where Herman worked as an elevator operator.[5]
Alice died in 1958. She is buried at the Salem Street Cemetery in Malden, with her husband.
