Gustav Jaenecke was a German athlete who competed in ice hockey at three Winter Olympics (1928, 1932, 1936) and represented Germany in Davis Cup tennis. He refused to play at the 1936 Olympics unless his Jewish teammate Rudi Ball was included on the team. He was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 1998.

Carl Gustav Jaenecke was born on May 22, 1908 in Berlin, German Empire. He died on May 30, 1985 in Bonn, West Germany, aged 77.
