Rudi Ball was a German-Jewish ice hockey player and IIHF Hall of Famer. Initially barred from the 1936 Berlin Olympics due to Nazi persecution, he was reinstated after teammate Gustav Jaenecke refused to play without him. One of only two Jewish athletes representing Germany at those Games, Ball played in four games and scored two goals.

Rudolf Victor Ball was born on June 22, 1911 in Berlin, Germany. He died on September 19, 1975 in Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa, aged 64.
